Abstract
A process for the concentration of nitric acid with simultaneous preparation of calcium nitrate comprises distillation of solutions of nonconcentrated nitric acid with concentrated solution of calcium nitrate with discharge of vapors of concentrated nitric acid and diluted solution of calcium nitrate, concentration of the solution of calcium nitrate and further return of the obtained concentrated solution of calcium nitrate to distillation. The diluted solution of calcium nitrate with the content of HNO, necessary for the preparation of calcium nitrate, is discharged. Acidous diluted solution of calcium nitrate is treated with lime milk and filtered. The part of it is discharged as finished product or delivered to granulation, and the second part is concentrated and returned to distillation of nonconcentrated nitric acid.
