Abstract

Description
本發明關於用於粒子固著目的之高分子分散劑,其具有多個三級胺基或四級化三級胺基,其中各胺基係藉在烷基相對於氮之貝他(beta,β)碳中有經對生二烷基取代碳之伸烷基而化學鍵結該分散劑。
顏料及其他粒子用之分散劑為已知的。分散劑通常在分子中具有可略為吸引且固著於顏料或粒子表面之固著部分、及利於與連續相交互作用之溶解部分。當該溶解部分固著於顏料或粒子時,溶解部分成為粒子凝集的屏障。
現有許多專利揭示含有三級胺、烷基銨、或四級銨官能基之分散劑,其可用於將分散劑固著於各種粒子,如顏料及填料。為了將顏料均勻分散於非水性介質中,其需要特別設計之分散劑產生具有可接受的黏度及穩定性質之分散液,其在被併入印刷墨水、塗料、或漆料時,使該墨水、塗料、及漆料產生可接受的流動特
徵。
本發明揭示含三級胺/四級胺的分散劑,其中該三級胺/四級胺基係藉伸烷基相對於氮之貝他(β)碳原子中有經對生二烷基取代碳之伸烷基,而化學鍵結分散劑。這些分散劑之熱穩定性優於類似分散劑(在伸烷基之貝他(β)碳原子中無經對生二烷基取代碳)。提升的熱穩定性係由以下例證:a)具有該分散劑之調配物在暴露於熱時較不趨於黃化,及b)該分散劑及分散液在老化後的性能(粒度較小,塗層光澤增加,及塗層霧值減小)。
由含三級胺/四級胺的分散劑造成的缺點為分散劑趨於變色。色彩產生(例如黃色或棕色)因暴露於高溫而加重,其對用於將含該分散劑的組成物暴露於高溫之應用,不論是在製造期間或在最終使用時(例如彩色濾光片、調色劑、線圈塗料)均不利。發明人已發現,包含三級或四級胺基的分散劑,其中該三級或四級胺基係藉在伸烷基相對於氮之貝他碳中有經對生二烷基取代碳之伸烷基而化學鍵結該分散劑,為有效的分散劑,及因顯著提升在高溫條件下的色彩穩定性而克服此問題。暴露於高溫亦會由於四級銨鹽之霍夫曼(Hofmann)降解而導致含胺殘基從分散劑釋放。眾所周知,當胺被四級化成為鹽或四級銨基時,因銨基之陰電性及形成自由胺官能性基之電感應效應而為優良脫離基。如果附接銨官能基之烷基之一具有β-氫,則這些氫趨於脫離且在烷基上形成雙鍵,因此使銨官能基自分子的其餘部分脫離,而
加強此成為脫離基的可能性。其通常稱為霍夫曼脫離或降解,且經常在高溫發生。因此,其中存在β-氫的含四級銨基化合物之熱穩定性會有問題。
解決此三級或四級化胺基損失問題的答案為設計胺及其四級銨官能基而無β-氫存在。
以下藉非限制例證說明各種較佳特點及具體實施例。
除非另有指示,否則各所述化學成分之量係排除習慣上可存在於市售材料之任何溶劑或稀釋劑油,即按有效化學物計而提出。然而除非另有指示,否則在此引用的各化學物或組成物應被解讀為商業級材料,其可含有異構物、副產物、衍生物、及其他通常認可存在於商業級的材料。在單體或重複單元中使用(甲基)代表選用甲基,如(甲基)丙烯酸甲酯。
已知一些上述材料會在最終調配物中交互作用,使得最終調配物的成分會異於最初添加者。例如(例如清潔劑之)金屬離子會移動到其他分子的其他酸性或陰離子性位置。所形成的產物,包括將本發明之組成物用於其意圖用途時形成的產物,因而可能無法簡單說明。儘管如此,所有此種修改及反應產物均包括於本發明之範圍內;本發明包含混合上述成分所製備的組成物。
以下揭示的技術提供一種高分子分散劑,其
具有三級脂肪族胺(視情況被四級化),但在作為粒子(如顏料或填料)分散劑之固著基的鍵聯基中無β-氫。該含胺高分子試劑對如用於墨水、塑膠、及漆料之顏料、填料、及強化元件之粒子為良好的分散劑。該分散劑可降低研磨基料之黏度而可增加顏料負載,如此提升產量。其亦強化最終的膜性質,如高光澤、低霧值、低絮凝、及提升的色彩強度。尤其是相較於其他的含胺聚合物,這些型式的含胺且無β-氫的聚合物在高溫不易黃化。
分散劑之量視粒狀材料分散量、及粒狀材料之表面積/克數而定。隨粒度減小,表面積增加,且隨表面積增加,每克需要更多的分散劑。按粒狀固體計,通常1.0重量%,或希望為>5重量%,或較佳為10重量%之式1分散劑為有效的。在一具體實施例中,按按粒狀固體計,希望分散劑之量為130重量%,更希望為100重量%,更希望為50重量%,且較佳為30重量%。
這些含胺高分子分散劑在周圍條件穩定,且不形成毒性降解產物。其在高溫亦穩定,且不釋放胺型降解產物而造成臭味及損失分散液穩定性與性能。後者在將其用於在處理步驟使用高溫之高技術應用及日常用途時,例如噴墨墨水、相變化墨水、塑膠、調色劑、線圈塗料、汽車漆料、與彩色濾光片,特別有利。
這些高分子分散劑希望具有利於與其中分散粒子之介質交互作用之溶劑溶解基。該分散劑在介質中膠態狀地穩定粒子而成為分散相。該介質可為水、極性有機介質、非極性有機介質、或以上成分在使用條件下
的相容/均質摻合物。該介質將支配用於分散劑之溶劑溶解基,因為一些溶劑溶解基(例如聚醚)利於與非常極性介質(如水)交互作用、而其他溶劑溶解基(聚丙烯酸酯與聚烯烴)則利於與非極性介質交互作用。該介質亦可為聚合性或熱塑性,如塑膠、橡膠、或熱塑物。較佳的最終組成物為墨水、研磨基料、塗料、著色的及/或填充的塑膠。
該分散劑亦可為粒子固著重複單元與溶劑溶解重複單元的無規共聚物,或者該分散劑可為具有至少兩個嵌段的嵌段共聚物。該分散劑可具有其中溶劑溶解鏈在終端之嵌段結構,且可具有其中一些溶劑溶解鏈為在二固著聚合物主幹段之間的本質上線形鏈之嵌段結構。分散劑之一較佳版本使用衍生自具有附接溶劑溶解鏈之乙烯不飽和巨單體的溶劑溶解鏈。在一具體實施例中,當將該巨單體與各種丙烯酸系及苯乙烯型單體共聚合時,溶劑溶解鏈在溶解鏈之一端附接至分散劑主幹,而溶劑溶解鏈之另一端可自由延伸入連續介質中。此類附接稱為橫向附接或側面附接聚合物主幹。具有橫向附接側接溶解鏈之分散劑經常稱為梳型聚合物,因為延伸的溶解鏈在圖像中可以梳狀齒表示。在許多具體實施例中,側面附接三級胺基及可能的側面附接溶解鏈除外,該聚合物具有本質上線形主幹。在其他具體實施例中,將具有二個或以上的乙烯不飽和基之單體(如二乙烯基苯、二醇二丙烯酸酯、二醇三丙烯酸酯、二醇四丙烯酸酯)共聚合至分散劑中而製造分歧聚合物主幹,成為分散劑
合成之一部分。
經二烷基胺基對生二取代之伸烷基可如下併入:1)將單體(如(甲基)丙烯酸二甲胺基新戊酯)中的不飽和基共聚合至聚合物中;或2)在聚合丙烯型聚合物之前或之後,將N,N-二甲胺基新戊烷二胺以丙烯酸系官能基單體反應。其他的經二烷基胺基對生二取代之伸烷基在以下說明書中揭述。
可作為分散劑之丙烯酸系聚合物可歸類為無規、嵌段、或梳型。然而,區別這些聚合物可能有困難,因為在有些產物中梳型側鏈及/或固著基進入嵌段中,如具有溶解側鏈之聚合物嵌段、及具有固著基之聚合物嵌段。
其中G為CH3或H基。
A為包含三級或四級化脂肪族胺、及包含伸烴基的連接基之部分,其中伸烴基係指二價烴型基,如從5至30個碳原子烴基移除2個氫原子而形成,且視情況在醚、酯、硫、及醯胺型鍵聯中包含至多3、4、或5個氧原子、至多1或2個硫原子、及/或至多3、4、或5個氮原
子,其由下式2-9表示而非限制,其中式1的部分為標號所表示之式1之碳主幹、及至式1之碳主幹之碳-碳鍵。在一具體實施例中,希望該伸烴基中每5個碳原子之氧、氮、與硫原子的總數小於1。在一具體實施例中,希望雜原子(碳或氫以外之原子)限於氧、或氧與氮。不視為式2-24之一部分,而是表示該式連接式1主幹之處。A之伸烴基鍵聯基含有5個碳或更多的對生二取代伸烷基。
U為氮、氧、或硫官能基,一般為氧或氮,及在氮的情形可含有側接基,如H、C1-6烷基、或C2-6醯基,R3獨立為伸烷基或伸烴基,其可為碳數1-25之線形或分支,當R3為伸烴基時,其可含有每3個碳原子為至多1個氮或氧之量的氧或氮原子。

B為將丙烯酸系單體之2個碳及碳對碳雙鍵之任何G基併入主幹之後,丙烯酸系單體或單體混合物的其餘部分,即其為丙烯酸之COOH、丙烯酸烷酯之COO-烷基等,B係在分散劑之粒子固著部分中,因此希望部分丙烯型單體用以將分散劑固著於粒子,如顏料。B亦可為芳香族,其亦可衍生自丙烯醯胺單體,例如二甲基丙烯醯胺,或者其可為已中和的酸。
C為衍生自丙烯酸系單體或單體混合物之部分,如(甲基)丙烯酸、(甲基)丙烯酸之鹽、(甲基)丙烯酸之醯胺、(甲基)丙烯酸烷酯;乙烯不飽和二酸(如伊康酸、順丁烯二酸等)之酸、鹽、與醯胺,尤其是在一具體實施例中,(甲基)丙烯酸的其餘部分、(甲基)丙烯酸之鹽、(甲基)丙烯酸酯、(甲基)丙烯醯胺,存在適當比例,以在將碳對碳鍵併入式1結構之主幹之後,調整衍生自含C單體之聚合物對所欲連續介質(例如有機連續介質、或富水連續介質)之溶解度。(甲基)丙烯酸烷酯適合有機連續介質,及(甲基)丙烯酸酯、(甲基)丙烯醯胺、或(甲基)丙烯酸之鹽的混合物適合富水連續介質。
D為衍生自包含聚醚、聚酯、聚丙烯酸酯、聚胺甲酸酯、聚烯烴、及其混合物之巨單體之部分,如以上所說明,在一具體實施例中,D為在將碳對碳雙鍵併入式1主幹之後的分子之其餘部分。
括號內之兩型重複單元(具有A與B者)及變數E(表示該重複單元之數量)為共聚物之固著段,且一般以
分散劑之10-60重量百分比,特佳為30-50重量百分比存在。

A與B在E段中可為無規或嵌段共聚合;C與D在F段中可為無規或嵌段共聚合;A與B之重複單元及C與D之重複單元可為嵌段或無規組態,如A與B之嵌段,然後為C與D之嵌段,然後為另一A與B之嵌段等。
在嵌段或梳型共聚物中,B部分不與C相同,及L可等於J。
在梯度共聚物部分中,B可與C相同,但L不等於J。
該共聚物可被分段,使得三級胺官能基A分布在聚合物鏈(E-F-E)嵌段共聚物之末端,或在聚合物鏈(F-E-F)嵌段共聚物之中間。

當Y1或Y2為聚醚時,該鏈可衍生自環氧乙烷、環氧丙烷、環氧丁烷、或氧化苯乙烯、及其混合物,在羥基官能基(甲基)丙烯酸酯與觸媒存在下的聚合。較佳單體為丙烯酸羥基乙酯或甲基丙烯酸羥基乙酯。

當D衍生自聚丙烯酸酯時,Y1或Y2為聚(丙烯酸酯),較佳為丙烯酸烷酯或甲基丙烯酸烷酯,例如(甲基)丙烯酸甲酯、(甲基)丙烯酸乙酯、(甲基)丙烯酸丙酯、(甲基)丙烯酸異丙酯、(甲基)丙烯酸丁酯、(甲基)丙烯酸異丁酯、(甲基)丙烯酸己酯、(甲基)丙烯酸2-乙基己酯、(甲基)丙烯酸壬酯、(甲基)丙烯酸月桂酯、(甲基)丙烯酸硬脂酯、(甲基)丙烯酸環己酯、(甲基)丙烯酸異癸酯、(甲基)丙烯酸異莰酯。
該聚合物亦可藉任何涉及功能性引發劑、終止劑、或轉移劑之已知的聚合技術製備。較佳技術為(甲基)丙烯酸烷酯在功能性鏈轉移劑存在下的自由基聚合,繼而以乙烯異氰酸酯(vinyl isocyanate)反應。較佳為(甲基)丙烯酸烷酯在巰基乙醇存在下的聚合,繼而以異丙烯-二甲基苄基異氰酸酯(isoprppenyl-dimethylbenzyl isocyanate)(由Cytec以TMI®市售)或甲基丙烯酸異氰醯基乙酯反應。或者為(甲基)丙烯酸烷酯之原子轉移自由基聚合(ATRP),繼而以丙烯酸反應,如US6936656 B2號專利之實施例2所揭述。
三級胺官能基單體之實例為可得自Bimax Chemicals之丙烯酸二甲胺基新戊酯、或由Lubrizol內部
合成的甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基新戊酯。
三級胺單體可藉由將N,N-二甲胺基新戊二胺以丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、丙烯酸β-羧基乙酯、丙烯醯氯、甲基丙烯醯氯、甲基丙烯酸乙醯乙醯氧基乙酯、甲基丙烯酸2-異氰醯基乙酯、甲基丙烯酸環氧丙酯、異戊烯基二甲基苯基異氰酸酯、二丙酮丙烯醯胺、或得自Showa Denko之Karenez MOI-EG反應而製備。Karenez MOI-EG具有以下結構:
類似反應示於US 2012/0237465號專利之0332段,其中將甲基丙烯酸甲酯在酯化用之觸媒存在下以3-二甲胺基-2,2-二甲基-1-丙醇反應,且以聚合抑制劑反應。
可與其他化合物反應形成A基的單體先質、或附接聚合物而製造A基之三級胺,可藉許多種技術合成
,其包括但不限於US 8,766,011號專利所揭述的胺基醇合成方法之技術/方法,其納入此處作為參考。
結構不同的熱穩定三級胺基可藉由在形成胺單體時取代不同的反應物而製造。以上CAS 19059-68-8之結構可在曼尼赫(Mannich)反應條件下由二甲胺、甲醛、與異丁醛形成醛中間物,然後僅氫化成醇而製造。該醇可經由(甲基)丙烯酸之催化酯化反應而反應。
因此就此而言,使用醛(如2-甲基丁醛、2-乙基丁醛、與2-甲基戊醛)製備醇中間物及(甲基)丙烯酸酯,即可提供充分的變化性。

其可使用甲醛以外的其他醛,且如此造成變數T4不為氫。

雜芳香族三級胺基已被認可為特別良好的固著基,尤其是咪唑官能基。使用雜芳香族三級胺之含三級胺基之單體可如下所示而製造。脂肪族環狀三級胺基亦可使用此技術製造。
亦可預料各種T2、T3、T4、與三級胺官能基的組合。
該共聚物可藉由將乙烯不飽和單體一起聚合而製造。對於接枝共聚物合成,較佳為自由基聚合,對
於嵌段共聚物合成,較佳為活性自由基聚合。在此階段,任何受控/活性聚合均可使用,其包括原子轉移自由基聚合(ATRP)、單電子轉移活性自由基聚合(SET-LRP)、氮氧化物中介自由基聚合(NMRP)、自由基加成分裂轉移(RAFT)聚合、碘轉移聚合、硒中心自由基中介聚合、碲化物中介聚合(TERP)、二苯基乙烯中介聚合。活性自由基聚合可在分散劑聚合期間將指定單體及巨單體按指定次序加入(而製造完全控制之嵌段及梳型聚合分散劑)。
該分散劑一般具有固著部分,其通常固著於粒子;及溶解部分,其通常利於與介質交互作用,且在作為分散劑時針對粒子凝集及/或黏聚提供一些形式的膠態穩定性。
希望每種聚合分散劑附接1至50個,更希望為約2至約25個三級脂肪族胺基。希望三級脂肪族胺基之重量百分比為分散劑重量之約5至約20重量百分比。關於此重量百分比計算法,該三級胺基包括氮原子、在氮原子上的烷基取代基、來自氮原子之α與β碳原子(其將氮連接分散劑的其餘部分)、及在該α與β碳原子上的任何取代基。希望三級脂肪族胺基之重量百分比恰為所定義的脂肪族胺基之重量百分比,且不包括四級化胺所附帶的相對離子之重量。

聚合可在任何適合所選擇的溶劑之溫度進行。一般而言,聚合可在溶劑存在下,在50℃至150℃、或60℃至120℃之範圍的溫度進行。
其可使用任何聚合引發劑。在一具體實施例中,該聚合引發劑為任何自由基聚合引發劑;及引發劑的選擇受聚合溫度及聚合方法影響。用於此方法之聚合引發劑在所屬技術領域為已知的,且選自習知自由基引發劑,如有機過氧化物及偶氮化合物。所使用的特定自由基引發劑依欲聚合之單體材料及方法條件而定。一般而言,引發劑之量按100重量份之單體計可為0.005重量份至5.00重量份之範圍。然而,按100重量份之單體計為0.01重量份至2.00重量份特別有用。

聚合溫度依所使用的引發劑型式而定。在一
具體實施例中,選擇引發劑使得聚合可在50℃至100℃、或60℃至90℃之溫度實行。一般而言,用於本發明之引發劑包括過氧化月桂醯、過氧化苯甲醯、1,1’-偶氮貳(1-環己烷碳化腈)、或2,2’-偶氮貳異丁腈。

如果需要,則含有塑膠材料之組成物可含有其他成分,例如本發明之化合物以外的分散劑、防霧劑、晶核生成劑、發泡劑、阻燃劑、處理助劑、界面活性劑、塑化劑、熱穩定劑、UV吸收劑、抗氧化劑、芳香劑、脫模助劑、抗靜電劑、殺微生物劑、殺生物劑、偶合劑、潤滑劑(外部與內部)、衝擊調節劑、滑動劑、空氣釋放劑、及黏度抑制劑。
該組成物一般含有1至95重量百分比之粒狀固體(分散相),精確量依固體本質及連續介質之相對密度而定。例如按組成物總重量計,其中固體為有機材料(如有機顏料)之組成物在一具體實施例中含有15至60重量百分比之固體,而其中固體為無機材料(如無機顏料、填料、或增量劑)之組成物在一具體實施例中含有40至90重量百分比之固體。
含有有機液體之組成物可藉任何已知用以製備分散液之習知方法製備。因此,固體、有機介質、及分散劑可以任何次序混合,然後將混合物進行機械處理而將固體粒度降低到適當大小,例如藉高速混合、球磨、籃式研磨、珠磨、石礫研磨、砂磨、磨碎機研磨、二輥或三輥研磨、塑料研磨,直到形成分散液。或者可處
理固體而獨立、或者與有機介質或分散劑一起降低其粒度,然後添加其他成分,及攪拌混合物而提供組成物。該組成物亦可藉由將乾燥固體與分散劑研磨或磨粉,然後在顏料沖洗方法中添加液態介質、或者將固體在液態介質中混合分散劑而製造。
含有塑膠材料之組成物可藉任何已知用以製備熱塑性化合物之習知方法製備。因此可將固體、熱塑性聚合物、與分散劑以任何次序混合,然後將混合物進行機械處理而將降低並分散固體顆粒到適當大小,例如藉班布里(Banbury)混合、帶式摻合、雙螺絲擠壓、雙輥研磨、在布斯(Buss)共捏合機中複合、或類似設備。亦可製造特定塑膠或橡膠中的主批顏料,然後可以另外的塑膠或橡膠稀釋該主批而製造最終組成物。
本發明之組成物特別適合液態分散液。在一具體實施例中,此分散液組成物包含:a)0.5至80份之粒狀固體;b)0.1至79.6份之式(1)聚合物;及c)19.9至99.4份之有機液體及/或水;其中相對份均為重量比,及量(a)+(b)+(c)=100。
在一具體實施例中,成分a)包含0.5至30份之顏料,且此分散液可作為(液態)墨水、漆料、及研磨基料。
如果需要乾燥形式的包含粒狀固體及式(1)分散劑之組成物,則該有機液體一般為揮發性,使得其可易於藉簡單的分離手段從粒狀固體移除,如蒸發。在
一具體實施例中,該組成物包含有機液體。
如果乾燥組成物本質上由式(1)分散劑及粒狀固體組成,則其一般含有按粒狀固體重量計為至少0.2%、至少0.5%、或至少1.0%之式(1)分散劑。在一具體實施例中,該乾燥組成物含有按粒狀固體重量計為不超過100%、不超過50%、不超過20%、或不超過10重量百分比之式(1)分散劑。
如前所揭示,本發明之組成物適合用以製備研磨基料,其中將粒狀固體在有機液體中在式(1)化合物存在下研磨。
因此,本發明之一又進一步態樣提供包含粒狀固體、有機液體、及式(1)聚合物之研磨基料。
一般而言,該研磨基料含有按研磨基料總重量計為20至70重量百分比之粒狀固體。在一具體實施例中,該粒狀固體不少於研磨基料之10或不少於20重量百分比。此研磨基料可視情況含有黏合劑,其在研磨之前或之後加入。
在一具體實施例中,該黏合劑為在有機液體揮發時可黏合組成物之高分子材料。
黏合劑為包括天然及合成材料之高分子材料。在一具體實施例中,黏合劑包括聚(甲基)丙烯酸酯、聚苯乙烯系、聚酯、聚胺甲酸酯、醇酸、多醣(如纖維素、硝基纖維素)、及天然蛋白質(如酪蛋白)。該黏合劑可為硝基纖維素。在一具體實施例中,該黏合劑以按粒狀固體之量計為超過100%、超過200%、超過300%、或超
過400%存在於組成物中。
研磨基料中選用黏合劑之量可在廣泛限度內改變,但是一般不小於研磨基料之連續/液相的10%,且經常不小於20重量百分比。在一具體實施例中,該黏合劑之量不大於研磨基料之連續/液相的50%、或不大於40重量百分比。
研磨基料中分散劑之量依粒狀固體之量而定,但是一般為研磨基料之0.5至5重量百分比。

在一具體實施例中,本發明之組成物進一步包括一種或以上的額外已知分散劑。
本發明在此可用於製造各種進入墨水、塗料、及著色的或填充的高分子系統中的粒子分散液。
比較例包含甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯(DMAEMA),及專利實施例包含甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基新戊酯(DMANPMA)。以此方式證明在相對氮原子之β位置的2個甲基之影響。
將ε-己內酯(200份)與1-十二醇(23.32份)在氮下於120℃一起攪拌。然後添加氯化亞錫觸媒(0.002份),且將反應物在氮下於120℃攪拌大約20小時。然後將反應物冷卻至70℃。然後添加3-異丙烯基-α,α-二甲基苄基異氰酸酯(26.5份)與二月桂酸二丁錫(0.25份)。將反應物在氮下攪拌大約2小時。在2小時之後殘留極少或無異氰酸酯。在冷卻到20℃之後得到聚酯蠟狀固體。將產物以尺寸篩除層析術相對聚苯乙烯標準品特徵化而為Mn=2200及Mw=2600。

2,2’-偶氮貳(2-甲基丙腈)(0.23份)在氮下於70℃攪拌1小時。添加2,2’-偶氮貳(2-甲基丙腈)(0.23份)與丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(3.75份),且將反應混合物攪拌又1小時直到反應已聚合,如NMR所測定。
將中間物B(93.33份)、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基新戊酯(33.34份)、甲基丙烯酸苄酯(6.67份)、丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(201.18份)、與2,2’-偶氮貳(2-甲基丙腈)(0.46份)經1小時加入該反應混合物。將反應混合物在70℃加熱20小時。

將EX2(58.37份)溶於丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(61.63份)。添加1毫米玻璃珠(190份)及紅色顏料(30.0份
,得自BASF之Irgazin Red® D3630),及將內容物以Dispermat® F1研磨機在2500rpm研磨1小時。將生成分散液(110份)過濾以移除玻璃珠,然後以丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(36.7份)稀釋,且添加0.1毫米鋯珠(70份)。將內容物以WAB Dyno® Research Mill研磨機在3000rpm研磨30分鐘。使用TA Instruments流變計測定,生成黏度在10秒-1小於0.3Pa.S,且藉Malvern Zetasizer Nano-S90測定,分散液之粒度為D50=183奈米及D90=470奈米,且Z平均=157奈米。
將CE2及實施例4或5(按100活性百分比計為1.9份)與丙烯酸系樹脂(1.05份,得自Allnex之Macrynal® SM565/70BA)溶於丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(23.3份)。添加3毫米玻璃珠(125份)及藍色顏料(8.75份,得自BASF之Heliogen Blue® L6700F),及將內容物以Skandex振動機研磨4小時。然後將生成分散液(29.17份)沈降至羥化樹脂(36.45份,得自Allnex之Macrynal® SM565/70BA)與多異氰酸酯硬化劑(3.24份,得自Bayer之Desmodur® N3390)於丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(41.98份)的溶液中。生成塗層呈現高光澤。
將CE3及實施例6(按100活性百分比計為0.5
份)溶於水(7.5份)。添加3毫米玻璃珠及藍色顏料(2份,得自BASF之Heliogen Blue® L6700F),及將內容物以水平振動機研磨16小時。以玻璃珠移動貫穿研磨基料之自由度測定生成研磨基料之黏度。使用CE3則生成研磨基料膠化,而使用實施例6則生成研磨基料呈現優良的流動性。
將實施例3及實施例7(按100活性百分比計為0.6份)溶於丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯。添加3毫米玻璃珠(17份)及紅色顏料(1.5份,得自BASF之Irgazin Red® L3630),及將內容物以水平振動機研磨16小時。以玻璃珠移動貫穿研磨基料之自由度測定生成研磨基料之黏度。生成研磨基料呈現優良的流動性。
實施例8。將甲基丙烯酸丁酯(43.75份)、甲基丙烯酸甲酯(43.75份)、2-甲基-2-[(十二基磺醯基硫代羰基)磺醯基]丙酸丁酯(8.82份,得自Lubrizol之CTA-1)、丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(85.25份)在氮下於75℃攪拌30分鐘。立刻將溶於丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(5.0份)之2,2’-偶氮貳(2-甲基丙腈)(0.29份)裝載到反應混合物,及將內容物在75℃攪拌又60分鐘。立刻再度將溶於丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(5.0份)之2,2’-偶氮貳(2-甲基丙腈)(0.29份)裝載到反應混合物,及將內容物在75℃攪拌又105分鐘。然後將甲基丙烯酸丁酯(43.75份)與甲基丙烯酸甲酯(43.75份)經70分鐘裝載到反應混合物,同時裝載溶於丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(89.69份)之2,2’-偶氮貳(2-甲基丙腈)(0.29份)。將內容物在75℃加熱55分鐘直到單體轉化結束,如

實施例9-11為重複實施例8,除了改變單體比例、引發劑、及RAFT試劑,以改變分散劑之分子量或胺值。
實施例12。實施例12為重複實施例9,除了已將聚合物以硫酸二乙酯四級化。藉GPC針對聚苯乙烯標準品測定,四級化前的分子量為Mn=14200及Mw=21500。產物具有49.18%之固體含量,及66.6毫克KOH/克之胺值。將此產物(400份)冷卻到50℃,且添加乙二醇丁基醚
(119.24份)與硫酸二乙酯(18.28份)。將反應混合物在氮下於50℃攪拌18小時。生成分散劑為淡黃色溶液,具有39.32%之固體含量,及藉滴定測定為44.36毫克KOH/克之胺值。
實施例13。實施例13為重複實施例9,除了將聚合物以硫酸二乙酯四級化。藉GPC針對聚苯乙烯標準品測定,四級化前的分子量為Mn=14200及Mw=21500。生成產物具有49.18%之固體含量,及66.6毫克KOH/克之胺值。將此產物(400份)冷卻到50℃,且添加硫酸二乙酯(36.6份)與乙二醇丁基醚(146.68份),及將反應混合物在氮下於50℃攪拌18小時。生成分散劑為淡黃色溶液,具有40.75%之固體含量,及藉滴定測定為25毫克KOH/克之胺值。
實施例14。將甲基丙烯酸丁酯(60份)、2-甲基-2-[(十二基磺醯基硫代羰基)磺醯基]丙酸丁酯(4.08份,得自Lubrizol之CTA-1)、丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(108.11份)在氮下於80℃攪拌30分鐘。將2,2’-偶氮貳(2-甲基丙腈)(0.13份)溶於丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(5份),且立即裝載到反應混合物及在氮下於80℃攪拌60分鐘。將又一份2,2’-偶氮貳(2-甲基丙腈)(0.13份)溶於丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(5.0份),且立即裝載到反應混合物,然後將內容物在80℃攪拌60分鐘。然後將甲基丙烯酸丁酯(62.5份)經60分鐘裝載到反應混合物,同時裝載溶於丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(9.0份)之2,2’-偶氮貳(2-甲基丙腈)(0.27份)。將內容物在80℃攪拌又20小時直到單體轉化結束,如
NMR所測定。將丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(82.99份)裝載到反應容器,然後在80℃經60分鐘裝載甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基新戊酯(96.25份),同時裝載溶於丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(13.67份)之2,2’-偶氮貳(2-甲基丙腈)(0.41份)。將反應混合物在氮下於80℃攪拌18小時直到單體轉化結束,如NMR所測定。將樣品從反應混合物移除,且藉GPC針對聚苯乙烯標準品測定為Mn=19600及Mw=29900。生成樣品具有49.4%之固體含量,及62.13毫克KOH/克之胺值。將其餘反應混合物(400份)冷卻到室溫,及添加硫酸二甲酯(13.96份)與乙二醇丁基醚(114.96份),且將反應混合物在氮下於25℃攪拌18小時。生成產物為淡黃色溶液,具有39.5%之固體含量,及藉滴定測定為35毫克KOH/克之胺值。
實施例15。將中間物B(25o份)、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基新戊酯(225份)、甲基丙烯酸苄酯(25份)、3-巰基丙酸丁酯(9.92份)、與丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(493.17份)在氮下於80℃攪拌。將2,2’-偶氮貳(2-甲基丙腈)(3.35份)溶於丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(40份),且經120分鐘加入反應混合物。將反應在80℃加熱又18小時直到單體轉化結束,如NMR所測定。藉GPC測定,生成產物為Mn=7500及Mw=19300。生成產物為48.7固體百分比之淡黃色溶液,及藉滴定測定為60.50毫克KOH/克之胺值。
將產物(400份)冷卻到50℃,及添加硫酸二乙酯(33.24份)與乙二醇丁基醚(136.88份),且將反應混合物在氮下於50℃攪拌18小時。生成分散劑為53.45固體百分
比含量之淡黃色溶液,及藉滴定測定為34.50毫克KOH/克之胺值。
實施例16。將中間物B(350份)、甲基丙烯酸二甲胺基新戊酯(62.5份)、甲基丙烯酸苄酯(87.5份)、3-巰基丙酸丁酯(7.17份)、與丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(495.07份)在氮下於80℃攪拌。將2,2’-偶氮貳(2-甲基丙腈)(2.42份)溶於丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(14.52份),且經120分鐘加入反應混合物。將反應在80℃加熱又18小時直到單體轉化結束,如NMR所測定。藉GPC測定,生成產物為Mn=10800及Mw=28600。生成產物為49.2固體百分比之透明溶液,及藉滴定測定為17.04毫克KOH/克之胺值。
實施例17。將實施例16(400份)冷卻到50℃,及添加硫酸二乙酯(63.18份)與乙二醇丁基醚(186.76份),且將反應混合物在氮下於50℃攪拌18小時。生成分散劑為淡黃色溶液,具有40.21%之固體含量,及藉滴定測定為1.35毫克KOH/克之胺值。
將實施例8-17在金屬盤中稱重,使得在溶劑蒸發後剩1克。然後將該盤置於烤箱中在230℃經15分鐘。加熱前後之色彩係基於1-18之加德納(Gardner)色彩尺度,其中1=透明膜(無色彩)及18=深色膜(高度著色)。
將實施例8-17(按50活性百分比計為2.0份)溶於丙二醇一甲基醚乙酸酯(7.0份)。添加1毫米玻璃珠(17份)及顏料綠58(1.0份,得自DIC之Fastogen® Green A110),及將內容物以水平振動機研磨總共48小時(3×16小時研磨)。以玻璃珠移動貫穿研磨基料之自由度測定生成研磨基料之黏度,且所有的研磨基料均呈現優良的流動性。研磨基料之粒度係使用Microtrac之NanotracTM 250粒度分析儀測定。所有的研磨基料之粒度平均D50均小於200奈米。

Claims (26)
- 一種高分子分散劑,其包含式1之衍生自聚合α-β不飽和烯烴單體的烯烴主幹,及該單體具有選自A、B、C、與D之側接基,或被後聚合(post polymerization)官能化而具有該側接基A、B、C、與D;該分散劑為具有無規或嵌段次序的以下重複單元之無規或嵌段共聚物:
- 如請求項1之高分子分散劑,其中該高分子分散劑中式25之嵌段共聚物為粒子固著嵌段,且在分散劑中為1或2個嵌段之形式,而式26為溶劑溶解嵌段,且以1或2個嵌段之形式存在。
- 如請求項1或2之高分子分散劑,其中N為零(其表示無巨單體),且式26之溶劑溶解嵌段由具有側接C基之重複單元的單體先質形成,及J為大到足以使溶解鏈之數量平均分子量為300至5,000克/莫耳之整數。
- 如請求項1或2之高分子分散劑,其中N為至少1,及F為至少1(其表示該分散劑為梳型分散劑)。
- 如請求項1或2之高分子分散劑,其中D包含數量平均分 子量為300至5,000克/莫耳之聚(環氧烷),且F乘以N之積為1至50。
- 如請求項1或2之高分子分散劑,其中D包含數量平均分子量為500至3,000克/莫耳之聚(環氧烷),F乘以N之積為3至50,及該聚(環氧烷)為該分散劑之50至70重量百分比。
- 如請求項1或2之高分子分散劑,其中D包含數量平均分子量為300-5,000克/莫耳之聚酯溶劑溶解鏈,且F乘以N之積為1至50。
- 如請求項8之高分子分散劑,其中D包含數量平均分子量為500至3,000克/莫耳之衍生自同元或共聚合羥基羧酸的聚酯、或得自該具有2至18個碳原子之羥基羧酸的內酯,F乘以N之積為3至50,及其中該分散劑之50至70重量百分比為該聚酯。
- 如請求項1或2之高分子分散劑,其中D包含數量平均分子量為300至5,000克/莫耳之聚烯烴或聚丙烯酸酯,及其中F乘以N之積為1至50。
- 如請求項10之高分子分散劑,其中D包含數量平均分子量為500至3,000克/莫耳之聚烯烴或聚丙烯酸酯,及其中F乘以N之積為3至50。
- 如請求項1或2之高分子分散劑,其具有約2,000至約60,000克/莫耳之數量平均分子量。
- 如請求項1或2之高分子分散劑,其中K乘以E之積為2至約25。
- 一種含分散劑的組成物,其包含分散形式的粒子、連續介質、及如請求項1至21中任一項之高分子分散劑;其中該粒子與式23之該固著嵌段交互作用,及該包含水、極性有機介質、或非極性有機介質之連續介質與式24之該溶解嵌段交互作用。
- 如請求項22之組成物,其中該組成物為研磨基料、漆料、或墨水。
- 如請求項22或23之組成物,其中該粒狀固體為顏料或填料。
- 如請求項22或23之組成物,其進一步包含黏合劑。
- 如請求項22或23之組成物,其中該高分子分散劑係以該組成物之0.5重量百分比至30重量百分比之範圍之量存在。
