Abstract

The device (4,5) is fixed to the weapon, and provided with a hollow chamber (14) and an explosive charge, e.g. an explosive cartridge, which produces a shock wave by detonation. The hollow chamber walls incorporate a fastening (22) for the explosive charge (6) and a unit (10) movable by the shock wave acts on a mechanical part (3), e.g. the trigger, of the weapon. The hollow chamber conducts the shock wave from the point of detonation to the movable unit (10). The hollow chamber is rectangular and the fastening for the explosive charge is located at one end of the hollow chamber and the movable unit is at its other end. The hollow chamber walls are partly (15) tubular. At one end (20) of the tubular hollow chamber wall, an adapter (16) for fastening the explosive charge is arranged with a wall (21) for closing the hollow chamber when the device is not fitted with the explosive charge.
