Abstract

A packaging blank, which has a plane, mainly polygonal bottom zone (21) and has side-wall zones (22-24) which are connected to the bottom zone (21) by folding lines along the edges of the bottom zone (21), can be erected by means of an erection device. This device has a supporting surface (19), along the side edges of which are rotatably mounted rollers (14, 15, 17) which serve for bending or erecting the side-wall zones (22-24) when the bottom zone (21) of the blank is pressed against the supporting surface (19) of the device. Because rollers (14, 15, 17) are used, instead of the conventional fixed guide plates, for erecting the side-wall zones (22-24) of the blank, this ensures that the force necessary for pressing the bottom zone (21) of the blank against the supporting surface (19) is reduced, and that a sliding movement between the rollers and the side-wall zones is also avoided. <IMAGE>
