Abstract

The invention relates to a branched hose consisting of rubber or rubber-substitute materials, for example for a vehicle cooling system. It has a main hose line and a branch hose line which are connected to one another in a fluid-tight manner, to be precise according to the proposal of the invention by means of an essentially rigid connecting element which is arranged inside the hose lines and a bandage-like transition piece consisting of formed, vulcanised material externally on the hose lines around the region of their connection. The connecting element has a tubular body which passes through an opening in the wall of the main hose line and is fixed in the branch hose line. Located at one end of the tubular body is an outer flange which fits the curvature of the hose hole in the main hose line and rests around the opening on the main hose line.
