Abstract

1287924 Air flow mixing devices HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS AB 11 Dec 1969 [20 Dec 1968] 60523/69 Heading F4V A device for mixing a stream of heated air from an electric thermal storage heater with a stream of unheated air comprises a duct 1 with inlets 1a, 2 for the heated and unheated air respectively, and a damper 5 which is actuated by a bimetallic element 7 and cooperates with a curved air stream guide plate 3 to control the heated air flow rate through the duct 1. The gap between the damper 5 and the plate 3 increases as the damper is rotated clockwise. The damper 5 is attached to a shaft 6 which is journalled in opposite walls of the duct 1 and the free edge of the damper 5 is curved. When the damper reaches a position clear of the free edge 12 of the plate 3, the electricity supply is used to maintain the temperature of the thermal storage core. A fan 4 draws the air streams through the duct 1.
