Det beskrives et preparat for et dyrkingsmedium for progenitor-Zstamceller avledet fra muskelvev, inneholdende serum og/eller serum fraksjoner av human opprinnelse og/eller animalsk opprinnelse, insulin eller et derivat derav, og en eller flere forbindelser valgt fra klassen antioksidanter og/eller vitaminer. Det beskrives videre en fremgangsmåte for dyrking av progenitor-Zstamceller, en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av myoblaster som kan benyttes som cellulært/genetisk terapiprodukt. Det tas sikte på å optimalisere produksjonen av myoblaster fra progenitor-stamceller.
