Abstract

The strip is for fixing to the threshold of the frame of a sliding frame assembly, there being two or more frame sections sliding horizontally in the grooves of it. It is of extruded plastic, each of the grooves (39-42) running horizontally when installed. Convex ribs (43) are formed in the base of each groove, to grip the respective frame. A profiled flange (37) can be provided on the strip, clear of the grooves, for insertion in a groove in the frame threshold, so as to hold the strip in position. The design prevents the frame sections sliding too easily in the strip, while reducing the hindrance to them doing so due to accumulated dirt.
