Abstract

1,167,975. Door frames. F. HILLS & SONS Ltd. 21 June, 1968 [6 July, 1967], No. 31222/67. Heading E1J. A door frame member comprises an extruded plastics section of channel, shape the flanges 10 of which overlap the faces of the associated wall 16 in use, and have apertures to receive fixing rails &c. 15 and each flange is provided with a separate extruded plastics architrave strip 22 which clips over lips 14, 14a on the exterior surfaces of the flanges 10, to conceal the apertures and fixing means, and preferably the channel is provided with a steel liner 20 which may extend into the projecting portions 12 of the channel web 11 which portion 12 forms the door stop. In an alternative arrangement the door stop is at the end of the web.
