Abstract

Fixed picture information, selected from a storage system with video output, representing all or parts of the plant being controlled is mixed in a circuit with alpha numeric symbols produced by conversion of the outputs from a digital computer and the composite video signal displayed on a closed circuit TV monitor screen. The inputs to the computer are derived from analogue measurements at required points in the plant and are converted back to analogue form for alpha numeric read out. A common selector keyboard chooses not only the fixed picture content but also the computer operations to suit that part of the plant.
