Abstract

1405141 Television; cathode-ray tube circuits MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 31 July 1972 [31 July 1971 (2) 9 Nov 1971 10 Nov 1971 19 May 1972 9 June 1972] 35761/72 Headings H4F and H4T A colour television reeiver 79 is used to display the calculations performed by an electronic calculator 78 superimposed on a received television signal. A memorized value may be displayed in a different colour to the digits displayed for the following calculation. Calculations are fed in via a keyboard 1, the digit signals being written into a converting circuit 5 from which they are read out under the control of signals from a control circuit 8, controlled by synchronzing signals separated from the received television signal, the read-out signals being passed to a character generating circuit 6 which also receives signals on lines 34, 35 indicative of the operators used in the calculations. The resulting signals are passed via parallelseries register 7 and colour control circuit 9 to the matrix circuit 17 of the television receiver 79. Each number may be displayed with a space to the left of every third least significant digit and a horizontal line may be inserted above the result of the calculation.
