Abstract
Se describe un procedimiento de polimerizacion de fase liquida para preparar un producto de poliolefina que tiene propiedades previamente seleccionadas. El procedimiento incluye los pasos de proveer un material de abastecimiento liquido que contiene un componente olefinico y una composicion de catalizador que contiene un complejo estable de BF3 y un agente formador de complejos del mismo. El material de abastecimiento puede comprender cualquier numero de olefinas incluyendo olefinas ramificadas tales como isobutileno, alfa olefinas lineales de C3 a C5 y alfa olefinas no reactivas de C4 a C5. El material de abastecimiento y la composicion de catalizador se introducen en una mezcla de reaccion residual recirculante en una zona de reaccion del reactor de circuito provista en el lado del tubo de un intercambiador de calor de tubo y envuelta a una velocidad de recirculacion suficiente para provocar un entremezclado intimo de la mezcla de reaccion residual, el material de abastecimiento agregado y la composicion de catalizador agregado. El calor de la reaccion de polimerizacion se elimina de la mezcla de reaccion intimamente entremezclada recirculante a una velocidad calculada para proveer una temperatura de reaccion sustancialmente constante en la mezcla de reaccion mientras que la misma se recircula en dicha zona de reaccion. Las condiciones en el reactor son apropiadas para originar que los componentes olefinicos introducidos en el material de abastecimiento sufran la polimerizacion para formar el producto de poliolefina deseado en presencia de la composicion, del catalizador. Una corriente de producto que comprende el producto de poliolefina deseado se retira de la zona de reaccion. La introduccion del material de abastecimiento en la zona de reaccion y la separacion de la corriente de producto de la zona de reaccion estan controladas de manera que el tiempo de residencia de los componentes olefinicos que sufren la polimerizacion en la zona de reaccion sea apropiado para la produccion del producto de poliolefina deseado.
