Abstract
Se divulgan métodos, sistemas y dispositivos de biosensores bucales y celdas de biocombustible. En un aspecto, un dispositivo sensor electroquímico para detectar analitos en la saliva incluye un sustrato que incluye un material eléctricamente aislante, un primer electrodo dispuesto sobre el substrato en una primera localización, en donde el primer electrodo incluye una superficie que incluye un agente químico (por ejemplo, un catalizador o un reactivo) que corresponde a un aflauto de la saliva; y un segundo electrodo dispuesto sobre el substrato en una segunda localización, separado del primer electrodo por una región de espaciamiento, el primero y segundo electrodo que son capaces de sostener una reacción redox que incluye el agente químico y el analito, para producir una señal eléctrica, de tal manera que cuando el dispositivo está presente en la boca de un usuario y acoplado eléctricamente con un circuito eléctrico, el dispositivo es operable para detectar el analito en la saliva del usuario.
