Abstract
A sensing transducer apparatus measures specific chemicals or classes of chemicals. The apparatus includes an electromagnetic transducer (38) comprising at least two electrodes (40, 45, 46) wherein at least one of the electrodes is on an electrically and mechanically stable substrate (39), and a chemically sensitive material (42) having an affinity for a dispersed chemical or class of chemicals in a single or multiphase analyte, the chemically sensitive material disposed on or adjacent to the electromagnetic transducer.
