Abstract
En la presente se proporciona un conector Luer para uso en sistemas de tubería de suministro y/o muestreo de gas respiratorio, el conector incluye un conector Luer macho primario, que tiene una forma de un cono ahusado, que comprende una sección hembra secundaria que se extiende desde una parte distal superior del conector Luer macho primario hacia una parte proximal del mismo, en donde el conector Luer macho primario comprende un primer canal de flujo de fluido interno que se extiende a lo largo de su longitud desde un extremo proximal del mismo a (y en conexión de flujo de fluido con) la sección hembra secundaria, en donde el primer canal de flujo de fluido interno tiene un diámetro de aproximadamente d1, en donde el diámetro incrementa en un punto de conexión entre el primer canal de flujo de fluido interno y la sección hembra secundaria para formar un cuello N, en donde el diámetro interno del cuello N está entre d1 y d2, en donde la sección hembra secundaria tiene un diámetro interno de d2 en una parte distal superior del conector Luer macho primario, en donde d1 es menor que d2, en donde el conector Luer macho primario se configura para acoplarse con un conector Luer hembra primario que tiene una forma de cono ahusado, en donde en su punto más profundo, el cono ahusado se invierte de nuevo en una sección macho secundaria y regresa en un hueco del conector Luer hembra primario, en donde la sección macho secundaria comprende un segundo canal de flujo de fluido interno que se extiende a lo largo de la longitud de la misma y que tiene un diámetro interno de aproximadamente di, en donde cuando el conector Luer macho primario y el conector Luer hembra primario se acoplan entre sí, la sección macho secundaria es al menos parcialmente insertada en la sección hembra secundaria.
