Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para seleccionar una planta de maíz con resistencia aumentada a la roya tropical, caracterizado porque comprende: a. detectar en la planta de maíz un primer alelo marcador que esté relacionado con y asociado con: i. la secuencia que se establece en la SEQ ID NO: 156; o ii. un haplotipo "GAG" en las posiciones 337-339 de la secuencia de referencia de la SEQ ID NO: 167; y b. seleccionar la planta de maíz que tenga el primer alelo marcador.
