Abstract

La presente invención proporciona enzimas de glucosiltransferasa (GT) modificadas con ingeniería genética, polipéptidos que tienen actividad de GT y polinucleótidos que codifican estas enzimas, así como vectores y células hospederas que comprenden estos polinucleótidos y polipéptidos; la presente invención proporciona enzimas de sacarosa sintasa (SuS) modificadas con ingeniería genética, polipéptidos que tienen actividad de SuS y polinucleótidos que codifican estas enzimas, así como vectores y células hospederas que comprenden estos polinucleótidos y polipéptidos; la presente invención también proporciona composiciones que comprenden las enzimas de GT y métodos de uso de las enzimas de GT modificadas con ingeniería genética para elaborar productos con enlaces ß-glucosa; la presente invención proporciona además composiciones y métodos para la producción de rebaudiósidos (por ejemplo, rebaudiósido M, rebaudiósido A, rebaudiósido I y rebaudiósido D); la presente invención también proporciona composiciones que comprenden las enzimas de SuS y métodos para usarlas; también se proporcionan métodos para producir las enzimas de GT y de SuS.
