Abstract

Las diversas modalidades de la presente invención se enfocan en recubrimientos resistentes al desgaste, losetas que tienen los recubrimientos resistentes al desgaste colocados en las mismas, y a métodos para elaborar los recubrimientos y las losetas; Un recubrimiento resistente al desgaste generalmente incluye una composición de vidrio-cerámica de aluminosilicato de estroncio que se forma a partir de un vidrio; el vidrio puede incluir un componente de cristalización, el cual en sí mismo puede incluir estroncio, aluminio y silicio, pero también comprende menos de aproximadamente 2 por ciento en peso de cada uno de litio, boro, bario, sodio, hierro, titanio, zirconio, y carbono, con base en un peso total del componente de cristalización.
