Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a elemento de conmutación para comunicaciones para transferir señales digitales, agrupadas en celdas, de una pluralidad de señales de entrada a una pluralidad de señales de salida, dicho elemento de conmutación incluye una pluralidad de medios de almacenamiento temporal cada uno asociado y dedicado permanentemente a una conección marcada entre cualquier par predeterminado de señal de entrada y señal de salida, e incluyendo una pluralidad de circuitos de prioridad, cada uno interconectando a los medios de almacenamiento temporal de un conjunto asociado respectivo, y en donde cada uno permite dichas transferencias una a una desde los medios de almacenamiento temporal de dicho conjunto aociado, caracterizado en que, cada uno de dichos circuitos de prioridad está constituído por un anillo tipo "token ring" en donde una prioridad que indica un señal de prueba pasa sucesivamente al medio de almacenamiento temporal del conjunto asociado para permitir al receptor de dicha señal de prueba, que transfiera de por lo menos una de dichas celdas a una señal de salida asociada en común al medio de almacenamiento temporal de dicho conjunto, antes de pasar dicha señal de prueba a otro medio de almacenamiento temporal de dicho conjunto.
