Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a catalizador para la purificación de los gases de escape de máquinas motrices a combustible que se presenta con un 2 hasta 70 por ciento por peso de CeO2 y de 0 hasta 20 por ciento por peso de ZrO2 como tambien en caso dado óxido de hierro, óxidos alcalino terreos y/o óxidos de metales de la serie de transición, elegidos entre los metales de las tierras raras contenidos en el óxido de aluminio como portador y de una fase activa adicionada sobre dicho portador de 0,01 hasta 3 por ciento por peso de platino, paladio y/o rodio con una proporción del peso entre el platino y/o paladio y en el caso dado presente rodio de 2 : 1 hasta 30 : 1, donde el catalizador en caso dado en forma de un revestimiento sobre un portador inerte alveolar de cerámica o metal o sobre un portador de cerámica espumoso en una cantidad de 5 hasta 30 por ciento por peso, referido al peso del portador, caracterizado porque, el catalizador contiene de 0,2 hasta 25 por ciento por peso de B2O3, referido al A1203.
