Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un sello aislador para el extremo abierto de una cubierta de celda electroquímica, el cual comprende: una arandela circular de plástico, que tiene una superficie superior, una superficie inferior, una pared circunferencial, que se extiende hacia arriba, en su periferia, y una abertura axial, en que arandela tiene un diámetro tal que se ajusta estrechamente dentro del extremo abierto de la cubierta de la celda; un miembro de soporte de metal, con una porción central de disco, un elemento de resorte ubicado en la periferia del miembro, una abertura axial y un elemento de refuerzo dispuesto en la porción de disco, el elemento de refuerzo se adapta para retardar el movimiento hacia arriba del centro del soporte cuando el elemento de resorte se coloca bajo fuerzas compresivas, aplicadas radialmente, dirigidas al interior, y en que el soporte de metal se asienta dentro y coaxial con la pared circunferencial de la arandela.
