Abstract

본 발명은 메모리내의 정보를 읽거나 쓰는 것에 관한 메모리 액서스방법과 그 장치에 관한 것으로 특히, 메모리 세그먼트 단위로만 정보를 액서스하는 것을 개선하기 위하여, 어드레스 입력부외에 오프셋(Offset)입력부를 두어서 지정 어드레스중 최초로 액서스할 위치를 지정하고 나머지는 계속되는 위치를 연속적인 메모리 세그먼트에 걸쳐 메모리 액서스단위 만큼씩 한번에 액서스할 수 있게 함으로써 메모리 세그먼트에 걸쳐있는 정보를 한번에 읽거나 쓰도록하여 메모리가 내장된 기기의 효율을 높이게 하는 메모리 액서스 방법과 그 장치에 관한 것이다.

Claims (2)

  1. 메모리 장치에 있어서, 액서스할 최초의 정보가 돌어 있는 메모리 세그먼트에 해당하는 어드레스를 입력하는 어드레스입력부; 및 입력어드레스의 메모리 세그먼트내에 최초로 액서스할 위치를 지정해 주는 오프셋(Offset)입력부; 및 메모리 세그먼트중 해당되는 각각의 바이트의 정보들을 저장하는 메모리 액서스단위 만큼의 수의 메모리들; 및 어드레스입력과 오프셋입력에 따라 상기 메모리들에 액서스할 어드레스와 바이트를 지정하여 주는 어드레스변환부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 메모리 장치.
  2. 메모리 액서스 방법에 있어서, 액서스할 최초의 정보가 들어 있은 메모리 세그먼트에 해당하는 어드레스를 입력하는 단계; 입력어드레스의 메모리 세그먼트내에 최초로 액서스할 위치를 지정해주는 단계; 어드레스입력과 오프셋입력에 따라, 메모리 세그먼트중 해당되는 각각의 바이트의 정보를 저장하고 있는 메모리들에 액서스할 어드레스와 바이트를 지정해주는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 메모리 액서스 방법.
