도 7은 비대칭 조명 시의 DMD 어레이로부터의 단일 미러를 보여준다;
도 8은 비대칭 조명 시의 DMD 어레이로부터의 출력 퓨필을 보여준다; 그리고
도 9는 비대칭 조명 시의 근축 투영 시스템을 도시한다.
Claims (8)
- 헤드업 디스플레이용 이미지 투영 장치로서,
복수 개의 피벗가능 미러를 포함하는 디지털 미러 디바이스;
미러에 걸쳐서 공간적으로 그리고 입력 원뿔에 걸쳐서 각지게(angularly) 분포되는 입사광으로 상기 피벗가능 미러를 조명하도록 구성되는 조명 소스; 및
상기 조명 소스로부터의 광이 상기 피벗가능 미러로부터 반사된 후에 도파관 내로 커플링되도록 정렬되는 광 도파관을 포함하고,
상기 입력 원뿔은 비대칭이고, 축에서의 상기 피벗가능 미러의 최대 틸트 각도보다 큰, 축에서의 원뿔각(cone angle)을 가지는, 이미지 투영 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 피벗가능 미러는 단일 축 상에서 피벗하는, 이미지 투영 장치. - 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 피벗가능 미러는 평면도에서 사면형이고(four-sided), 미러 둘레의 두 꼭지점 사이의 축 중심으로 피벗하는, 이미지 투영 장치. - 제 3 항에 있어서,
상기 디지털 미러 디바이스는 다이아몬드 픽셀 디바이스인, 이미지 투영 장치. - 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 입력 원뿔각은, 미러 피벗 축에 수직인 축에 따라 24°이고, 상기 미러 피벗 축에 평행한 축에 따라 24°보다 큰, 이미지 투영 장치. - 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 이미지 투영 장치는,
상기 디지털 미러 디바이스의 출력을 출력 퓨필(output pupil)에 투영하기 위한 렌즈 배열체를 더 포함하고,
상기 출력 퓨필은 공간적으로 비대칭인, 이미지 투영 장치. - 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 도파관은 디지털 미러 디바이스 조명에 의해 생성되는 출구 퓨필(exit pupil)을 하나의 축에서 확장시키는, 이미지 투영 장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 도파관은 상기 입력 퓨필을 단일 차원에서의 퓨필 모사(replication)를 통해 확장시켜서, 더 큰 출구 퓨필을 사용자에게 제공하는, 이미지 투영 장치.
