Description
Claims (13)
- 복수의 화소로 구성되고, 상기 화소 각각에 대하여 조사(照射)된 광을 표시될 상의 화소데이터에 따라 변조하는 데 사용되는 상기 화소 각각에 대한 광학공간변조장치에 있어서,표시될 상의 화소데이터를 기억하는 제1 메모리와;상기 제1 메모리에 기억된 화소데이터가 전달되는 제2 메모리와;상기 제2 메모리에 전달된 화소데이터에 따라 구동수단과 결합된 화소의 상태를 변화시키는 상기 구동수단과를 또한 포함하고,상기 상을 구성하는 모든 화소 각각에 대응하는 상기 제1 메모리내에 화소데이터를 기억하고;상기 화소데이터를 상기 제1 메모리로부터 상기 제2 메모리로 전달하고;상기 제2 메모리에 전달된 상기 화소데이터에 따라 상기 화소에 대응하는 상기 구동수단을 사용함으로써 상기 화소 각각의 상태를 변화시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학공간변조장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 화소 각각은, 상기 화소의 상기 구동수단에 의해 행해진 제어에 의하여, 광투과율, 광반사율 또는 편광상태를 가진 제1 상태, 또는 상기 제1 상태와 상이한 광투과율, 광반사율 또는 편광상태를 가진 제2 상태로 될 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학공간변조장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 화소 모두에 대한 상기 구동수단이 상기 화소 모두의 상태를 일괄처리(batch)동작으로 변화시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학공간변조장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 화소 모두에 대한 상기 구동수단이 상기 화소 모두의 상태를 소정의 간격으로 변화시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학공간변조장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 표시된 상을 변화시키는 동작에 있어서, 먼저 상기 화소 모두에 대한 상기 구동수단이 상기 표시된 상을 지움으로써 상기 화소 모두를 초기상태로 하고, 다음에 신규로 표시될 상에 따라 상기 화소의 상태를 변화시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학공간변조장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 표시된 상을 변화시키는 동작에 있어서, 변화가 필요한 화소의 상태만이 상기 구동수단에 의하여 변화되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학공간변조장치.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 화소 각각에 대한 상기 광학공간변조장치는,상기 표시된 상을 변화시키는 상기 동작 전에, 상기 표시된 상의 화소 각각의 상태가, 신규로 표시될 상기 상의 상기 화소의 상태와 동일한 가의 여부의 판정을 수행하는 판정수행수단과;상기 판정수행수단에 의하여 형성된 상기 판정의 결과를 기억하는 제3 메모리와를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학공간변조장치.
- 제7항에 있어서, 표시된 상을 변화시키는 동작에 있어서, 변화가 필요한 화소의 상태만이 상기 제3 메모리에 기억된 상기 판정의 결과에 따라 상기 구동수단에 의하여 변화되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학공간변조장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 화소 각각은 액정물질을 사용하고, 상기 액정물질의 상태를 변화시킴으로써, 상기 화소의 광투과율, 광반사율 또는 편광상태가 변화될 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학공간변조장치.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 액정물질은 상태기억 특성모드를 가지는 액정물질인 것을 특징으로 하는 광학공간변조장치.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 액정물질은 강유전성 액정물질 또는 폴리머확산 액정물질인 것을 특징으로 하는 광학공간변조장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 화소 각각은 변화된 광투과율, 광반사율 또는 편광상태를 가진 상태를 기억할 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학공간변조장치.
- 광을 조사하는 광원 및 복수의 화소로 구성되고, 상기 화소 각각에 대하여 상기 광원에 의하여 조사된 상기 광을 표시될 상의 화소데이터에 따라 변조하는 데 사용되는 광학공간변조장치를 포함하는 상표시장치에 있어서,상기 화소 각각에 대한 상기 광학공간변조장치는,표시될 상의 화소데이터를 기억하는 제1 메모리와;상기 제1 메모리에 기억된 화소데이터가 전달되는 제2 메모리와;상기 제2 메모리에 전달된 화소데이터에 따라 구동수단과 결합된 화소의 상태를 변화시키는 상기 구동수단과를 또한 포함하고,상을 표시하는 동작은, 상기 상을 구성하는 모든 화소 각각에 대응하는 상기 제1 메모리내에 화소데이터를 기억하고;상기 화소데이터를 상기 제1 메모리로부터 상기 제2 메모리로 전달하고;상기 제2 메모리에 전달된 상기 화소데이터에 따라 상기 화소에 대응하는 상기 구동수단을 사용함으로써 상기 화소 각각의 상태를 변화시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 상표시장치.
