Claims (20)
- 각각 제 1 표면과 제 2 표면을 가지고, 서로 대향 배치된 제 1 및 제 2 기판;
상기 제 1 및 제 2 기판의 사이에 존재하는 광변조층; 및
상기 제 1 기판 또는 상기 제 2 기판의 제 2 표면에 형성된 550nm 파장의 광에 대한 면내 위상차가 100nm 내지 300nm의 범위 내인 위상차 필름을 포함하고,
상기 제 1 기판 및 제 2 기판 중 적어도 하나는 550 nm 파장에 대한 면내 위상차가 500 nm 이상인 비등방성 기판이고, 상기 위상차 필름은, 상기 위상차 필름의 지상축과 상기 비등방성 기판의 지상축이 서로 수직 또는 수평이 되도록 배치되어 있는 광변조 디바이스. - 제 1 항에 있어서, 위상차 필름은 하기 수식 1 또는 수식 2를 만족하는 광변조 디바이스:

- 제 1 항에 있어서, 제 1 기판 및 제 2 기판의 제 2 표면 중 하나 이상의 표면에 형성된 편광층을 추가로 포함하는 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 접착제층 또는 점착제층은 실리콘 접착제층 또는 실리콘 점착제층인 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 제 1 기판에는 액정 배향막이 형성되어 있지 않은 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 액정 배향막은 수직 배향막인 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 5 항에 있어서, 편광층은 제 1 및 제 2 기판의 제 2 표면에 각각 형성되고, 상기 제 1 및 제 2 기판의 제 2 표면에 형성된 편광층의 흡수축은 서로 수직인 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 5 항에 있어서, 위상차 필름의 지상축과 상기 위상차 필름에 인접하는 편광층의 흡수축은 서로 수직인 광변조 디바이스.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 제 1 및 제 2 기판이 각각 비등방성 기판이고, 상기 제 1 및 제 2 기판의 지상축은 서로 수평인 광변조 디바이스.
