Claims (21)
- 서로 대향하여 위치한 제 1 기판과 제 2 기판;
상기 제 1 기판과 상기 제 2 기판 사이에 위치한 액정층;
상기 제 1 기판 상에 위치한 게이트 라인 및 데이터 라인;
상기 게이트 라인 및 상기 데이터 라인에 연결된 트랜지스터;
상기 제 1 기판의 화소 영역에 위치한 화소 전극;
상기 화소 전극과 상기 트랜지스터 사이를 연결하는 연결 전극;
상기 화소 전극과 중첩하는 공통 전극;
상기 화소 전극과 공통 전극 사이에 위치한 보호층;
상기 보호층 상에 위치하여 상기 화소 영역을 정의하는 블랙 매트릭스; 및
상기 데이터 라인을 사이에 두고 상기 화소 전극과 인접하여 위치한 다른 화소 전극을 포함하며,
상기 블랙 매트릭스는, 상기 게이트 라인을 따라 연장된 제 1 차광부와, 상기 데이터 라인을 따라 연장되어 상기 화소 전극 및 상기 공통 전극 중 적어도 하나와 상기 데이터 라인을 중첩하는 제 2 차광부를 포함하며,
상기 화소 전극의 인접한 가지 전극들 사이의 간격은 상기 화소 전극과 상기 다른 화소의 화소 전극 사이의 간격보다 크며,
상기 블랙 매트릭스는 상기 제 2 차광부에 인접한 다른 제 2 차광부를 더 포함하며,
상기 화소 전극의 일부는 상기 제 2 차광부와 상기 다른 제 2 차광부 사이에 배치되며,
상기 화소 전극의 일측 가장자리와 상기 다른 제 2 차광부 사이에 갭이 위치하고,
상기 화소 전극의 일측 가장자리는 상기 갭을 사이에 두고 상기 다른 제 2 차광부를 마주보는 액정 표시장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 제 2 차광부는, 상기 화소 전극의 변들 중 상기 데이터 라인에 실질적으로 평행한 변을 따라 위치하는 액정 표시장치. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 제 2 차광부는 상기 화소 전극과 상기 공통 전극 중 어느 하나와 접촉하는 액정 표시장치. - 삭제

상기 제 2 차광부와 중첩하는 화소 전극의 면적이 상기 제 2 차광부와 중첩하지 않은 화소 전극의 면적보다 더 작은 액정 표시장치. - 삭제
