Claims (20)
- 제1 기판,
상기 제1 기판 위에 위치하고 게이트선과 연결되는 박막 트랜지스터,
상기 제1 기판 위에 위치하고 절연막을 사이에 두고 위치하는 제1 전극 및 제2 전극,
상기 제1 기판과 마주보는 제2 기판,
상기 제1 기판과 상기 제2 기판 사이에 위치하는 액정층, 그리고
상기 박막 트랜지스터에 연결되고 상기 게이트선과 교차하는 데이터선을 포함하고,
상기 제1 전극 및 상기 제2 전극 중 하나는 복수의 가지 전극을 포함하고 다른 하나는 면 형상을 가지며,
상기 복수의 가지 전극은 상기 게이트선과 평행한 방향으로 뻗어 있고,
상기 액정층에 포함된 액정 분자는 음의 유전율 이방성을 갖고,
상기 게이트선과 중첩하는 가로 차광 부재 및 상기 데이터선과 중첩하는 세로 차광 부재를 포함하고,
상기 가로 차광 부재의 폭은 상기 세로 차광 부재의 폭보다 크고,
전계가 인가되지 않는 상태에서 상기 액정 분자의 초기 배향 방향이 상기 가로 차광 부재와 수직한 액정 표시 장치. - 제1항에서,
상기 액정 분자는 전계가 인가되지 않은 상태에서 상기 가지 전극에 수직인 방향을 기준으로 기설정된 경사각을 가지는 액정 표시 장치. - 제2항에서,
상기 복수의 가지 전극은 상기 면 형상의 전극과 중첩하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제3항에서,
상기 제1 전극과 상기 제2 전극 중 하나는 상기 박막 트랜지스터와 연결되는 액정 표시 장치. - 제2항에서,
상기 복수의 가지 전극 위에 위치하는 광배향막을 더 포함하고,
상기 광배향막은 상기 액정 분자의 경사각을 결정하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제5항에서,
상기 데이터선은 일직선으로 뻗어 있는 액정 표시 장치.

상기 게이트선과 상기 데이터선은 수직 교차하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제8항에서,
상기 제1 기판 위에 복수의 화소가 위치하고, 상기 복수의 화소 각각은 가로 방향의 단축과 세로 방향의 장축을 포함하고,
상기 복수의 가지 전극은 상기 화소의 단축을 따라 뻗어 있는 액정 표시 장치. - 제5항에서,
상기 광배향막은 광분해형 배향막인 액정 표시 장치. - 제2항에서,
상기 제1 기판 위에 복수의 화소가 위치하고, 상기 복수의 화소 각각은 상부 영역과 하부 영역을 포함하고, 상기 상부 영역에 위치하는 액정 분자는 제1 방향을 갖고, 상기 하부 영역에 위치하는 액정 분자는 제2 방향을 가지며,
상기 제1 방향과 상기 제2 방향은 서로 다른 액정 표시 장치. - 제2항에서,
상기 제1 기판 위에 복수의 화소가 위치하고, 상기 복수의 화소 중 서로 이웃하는 제1 화소 및 제2 화소를 포함하고, 상기 제1 화소에 위치하는 액정 분자는 제1 방향을 갖고, 상기 제2 화소에 위치하는 액정 분자는 제2 방향을 가지며,
상기 제1 방향과 상기 제2 방향은 서로 다른 액정 표시 장치. - 제2항에서,
상기 기설정된 경사각은 5도 내지 10도인 액정 표시 장치. - 제1항에서,
상기 액정층에 존재하는 이온 불순물이 상기 게이트선을 향해 이동하는 액정 표시 장치. - 제14항에서,
상기 이온 불순물은 상기 가로 차광 부재로 가려지는 액정 표시 장치. - 제1 기판 위에 게이트선과 연결되는 박막 트랜지스터를 형성하는 단계,
상기 제1 기판 위에 절연막을 사이에 두고 위치하는 제1 전극 및 제2 전극을 형성하는 단계,
상기 제1 전극 또는 상기 제2 전극 위에 광배향막을 형성하는 단계 그리고
상기 제1 기판 및 상기 제1 기판과 마주보는 제2 기판 사이에 액정층을 형성하는 단계를 포함하고,
상기 박막 트랜지스터에 연결되고 상기 게이트선과 교차하는 데이터선을 형성하는 단계를 포함하고,
상기 게이트선과 중첩하는 가로 차광 부재 및 상기 데이터선과 중첩하는 세로 차광 부재를 형성하는 단계를 포함하고,
상기 가로 차광 부재의 폭은 상기 세로 차광 부재의 폭보다 크도록 형성하고,
상기 제1 전극 및 상기 제2 전극 중 하나는 복수의 가지 전극을 포함하고 다른 하나는 면 형상을 가지며,
상기 액정층에 포함된 액정 분자는 음의 유전율 이방성을 가지고,
전계가 인가되지 않는 상태에서 상기 액정 분자의 초기 배향 방향이 상기 가로 차광 부재와 수직한 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법. - 제16항에서,
상기 데이터선은 일직선으로 뻗도록 형성하는 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법.

상기 광배향막을 형성하는 단계는 상부 영역과 하부 영역을 포함하는 단위 화소에서 상기 하부 영역을 마스크로 가린 상태에서 상기 상부 영역의 배향 방향이 제1 방향이 되도록 형성하고, 상기 상부 영역을 마스크로 가린 상태에서 상기 하부 영역의 배향 방향이 제2 방향이 되도록 형성하며,
상기 제1 방향과 상기 제2 방향은 서로 다른 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법. - 제16항에서,
상기 광배향막을 형성하는 단계는 서로 이웃하는 제1 화소 및 제2 화소에서 상기 제2 화소를 마스크로 가린 상태에서 상기 제1 화소의 배향 방향이 제1 방향이 되도록 형성하고, 상기 제1 화소를 마스크로 가린 상태에서 상기 제2 화소의 배향 방향이 제2 방향이 되도록 형성하며,
상기 제1 방향과 상기 제2 방향은 서로 다른 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법.
