Claims (13)
- 제 1 기판, 광변조층 및 제 2 기판을 순차로 포함하고,
상기 제 1 기판과 제 2 기판의 사이에 존재하면서 제 1 기판과 제 2 기판의 간격을 유지하는 스페이서를 더 포함하며,
상기 스페이서는 하기 수식 1의 분산도(SD)가 70% 이상이고, 하기 수식 2의 분포비(SR)가 7 이상 내지 120 이하가 되도록 존재하는 광변조 소자이고,
상기 광변조 소자의 기준 면적 1mm2 당 존재하는 총 스페이서의 개수(B)는 5개 내지 130개 범위 내인 광변조 소자:

분포비(SR) = B ×SD
수식 1 및 2에 있어서, A는 광변조 소자의 기준 면적 1mm2 당 독립적으로 존재하는 스페이서의 개수이고, B는 광변조 소자의 기준 면적 1mm2 당 존재하는 총 스페이서의 개수이며, 스페이서가 독립적으로 존재한다는 것은 2개 이상의 스페이서가 서로 접한 상태나 뭉친 상태가 아닌 개별적으로 존재하는 것을 의미한다. - 삭제
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 스페이서는 컬럼 스페이서 또는 볼 스페이서인 광변조 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 스페이서의 크기는 1 ㎛ 내지 100 ㎛ 범위 내인 광변조 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 스페이서는 제 1 기판 또는 제 2 기판에 고착된 상태로 존재하는 광변조 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 기판 및 제 2 기판은 각각 필름 기재인 광변조 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 기판과 광변조층 사이의 제 1 전극층과 제 2 기판과 광변조층 사이의 제 2 전극층을 더 포함하는 광변조 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 기판과 광변조층 사이의 제 1 배향막과 제 2 기판과 광변조층 사이의 제 2 배향막을 더 포함하는 광변조 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 광변조층은 광변조 물질을 포함하고, 상기 광변조 물질은 제 1 기판과 제 2 기판의 사이에 스페이서가 존재하지 않는 영역에 존재하는 광변조 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 광변조층은 광변조 물질로서 액정 화합물, 전기 변색 물질 또는 전기 영동 물질을 포함하는 광변조 소자.
- 제 10 항에 있어서, 상기 광변조층은 이색성 염료를 더 포함하는 광변조 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 광변조층은 액정층이고, 상기 액정층은 전압이 인가되지 않은 상태에서, 수직 배향 상태, 수평 배향 상태, 경사 배향 상태, 스프레이 배향 상태, 트위스트 배향 상태 또는 하이브리드 배향 상태로 존재하는 광변조 소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 광변조 소자는 전압이 인가되지 않은 상태에서 헤이즈가 1.5% 이하인 광변조 소자.
