본 발명은 Li의 과다 사용에 따른 주변 화소의 발광불량을 해소할 수 있는 동시에, 유기 발광층 내의 Li의 증가로 전계발광 표시장치의 수명을 증가시킬 수 있는 효과를 가진다.

Claims (14)
- 기판 위에 배치되는 구동 박막트랜지스터;
상기 구동 박막트랜지스터가 배치된 상기 기판 위에 화소 별로 패터닝 되며, 컨택 홀을 통해 상기 구동 박막트랜지스터에 접속하는 애노드;
상기 애노드를 노출하는 개구부를 가진 뱅크;
상기 애노드 위에 상기 개구부에 접하는 상기 뱅크의 1면 또는 2면 가장자리 하부에 배치되며, 상기 뱅크의 가장자리 내부에 언더 컷(undercut) 구조를 형성하는 더미 패턴;
상기 개구부에 의해 노출된 상기 애노드 위에 배치되어 일측 끝단이 상기 더미 패턴과 이격 되는 제1 유기 발광층 및 상기 더미 패턴 상부의 상기 뱅크 위에 배치되어 상기 제1 유기 발광층의 일측 끝단과 이격 되고, 상기 제1 유기 발광층의 다른 일측 끝단과 연결되는 제2 유기 발광층으로 구성되는 유기 발광층; 및

상기 절연층이 노출되는 상기 뱅크와 상기 이웃하는 뱅크 사이의 이격 되는 공간에 상기 절연층과 접촉하도록 상기 제2 유기 발광층이 연장, 배치되는 하부 발광 방식의 전계발광 표시장치. - 삭제
- 기판 위에 구동 박막트랜지스터를 형성하는 단계;
상기 구동 박막트랜지스터가 형성된 상기 기판 위에 제1 금속층과 제2 금속층을 형성하는 단계;
상기 제2 금속층 위에 감광막 패턴을 형성하는 단계;
상기 감광막 패턴을 마스크로 상기 제1 금속층과 상기 제2 금속층을 화소 별로 식각하여 컨택 홀을 통해 상기 구동 박막트랜지스터에 접속하는 애노드와 제2 금속층 패턴을 형성하는 단계;
상기 감광막 패턴을 애싱하고, 이를 마스크로 상기 제2 금속층 패턴을 식각하여 1차 더미 패턴을 형성하는 단계;
상기 기판 위에, 상기 1차 더미 패턴의 일측을 노출시키는 개구부를 가진 뱅크를 형성하는 단계;
상기 1차 더미 패턴을 식각하여 상기 애노드 위에 상기 개구부에 접하는 상기 뱅크의 1면 또는 2면 가장자리 하부에, 상기 뱅크의 가장자리 내부에 언더 컷 구조를 형성하는 더미 패턴을 형성하는 단계; 및
상기 기판 위에 유기 발광층과 캐소드를 형성하는 단계를 포함하며,
상기 유기 발광층과 상기 캐소드는, 상기 더미 패턴과 일정 거리 이격 되며,
상기 컨택 홀은 상기 개구부 이외의 영역에 형성되며,
상기 유기 발광층은, 상기 개구부에 의해 노출된 상기 애노드 위에 배치되어 일측 끝단이 상기 더미 패턴과 이격 되는 제1 유기 발광층 및 상기 더미 패턴 상부의 상기 뱅크 위에 배치되어 상기 제1 유기 발광층의 일측 끝단과 이격 되고, 상기 제1 유기 발광층의 다른 일측 끝단과 연결되는 제2 유기 발광층을 포함하며,
상기 캐소드는 상기 제1 유기 발광층 위의 일측 끝단이 상기 더미 패턴과 일정 거리 이격 되며,
상기 유기 발광층은, 제1 발광층을 포함하는 제1 스택, 제2 발광층을 포함하는 제2 스택 및 상기 제1 스택과 상기 제2 스택 사이에 배치되는 전하생성층으로 구성되는 하부 발광 방식의 전계발광 표시장치의 제조방법. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 유기 발광층은, 상기 제1 스택과 알칼리 금속을 포함하는 N형 전하생성층 및 상기 제2 스택을 포함하는 멀티-스택 구조로 형성하는 하부 발광 방식의 전계발광 표시장치의 제조방법. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 제2 금속층은 상기 제1 금속층과 선택적 식각되는 물질로 형성하는 하부 발광 방식의 전계발광 표시장치의 제조방법. - 제11항에 있어서,
상기 제1 금속층은 ITO, IZO, ZnO, 또는 In2O3으로 형성하며,
상기 제2 금속층은 Cu, Al, 또는 IGZO로 형성하는 하부 발광 방식의 전계발광 표시장치의 제조방법. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 뱅크는 이웃하는 뱅크와 일정 거리 이격 되어 있고, 이격 되는 공간에 상기 기판의 절연층이 노출되도록 형성하는 하부 발광 방식의 전계발광 표시장치의 제조방법. - 제13항에 있어서,
상기 절연층이 노출되는 상기 뱅크와 상기 이웃하는 뱅크 사이의 이격 되는 공간에 상기 절연층과 접촉하도록 상기 제2 유기 발광층이 연장, 형성되는 하부 발광 방식의 전계발광 표시장치의 제조방법.
