Claims (17)
- 조향 휠 내부에 위치하는 히터 및
차량 좌석 내부에 위치하는 히터;를 포함하고,
상기 조향 휠 내부에 위치하는 히터는 제1플레이트이고, 상기 차량 좌석 내부에 위치하는 히터는 제2플레이트이며, 탑승자 유무가 감지되도록 상기 제1플레이트와 상기 제2플레이트사이의 신호의 쉬프트 (a shift in a signal)가 모니터링되고,
상기 조향 휠 내부에 위치하는 히터 및 상기 차량 좌석 내부에 위치하는 히터는 센서인 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서,
상기 좌석 내부히터는 그라운드 되고, 상기 조향 휠 히터는 전류가 상기 좌석 내부 히터와 상기 조향 휠 내부 히터로 인가될 때 그라운드 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- 제1항 내지 제2항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,

- 제 1항 내지 2항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 조향 휠 히터는 상기 조향 휠 히터와 상기 차량 좌석 히터 사이의 커패시턴스 변화를 감지하는 센싱 시스템과 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- 제 1항 내지 2항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 조향 휠은 탑승자의 존재로 인해 야기되는 전압 변화, 탑승자가 조향 휠을 접촉하는 것, 탑승자가 차량 좌석과 접촉하는 것 또는 이 둘 모두로 인해 야기되는 전압 변화를 감지하는 센싱 시스템과 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- 제 1항 내지 2항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 시스템은, 배터리와 상기 좌석 히터 사이에 위치하는 스위치와, 그라운드와 상기 좌석히터 사이에 위치하는 스위치를 더 포함하고, 이 두 스위치들은 상기 시스템으로 센싱 전류가 인가될 때 오프 (OFF)상태로 전환되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- 제1항 내지 2항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 조향 휠 히터는 두개의 개별 히터 부분들로 구성되며, 각각의 히터 부분들은 독립적으로 상기 신호, 에너지 또는 둘 다를 수신하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
- a) 서로 인접하게 위치된 두개의 개별 차량 부품 각각의 내부에 히터를 설치하는 과정;
b) 상기 히터가 열을 생성하도록 상기 히터로 에너지를 제공하는 과정;
c) 탑승자의 존재, 상기 탑승자에 의한 상기 두개의 개별 차량 부품과의 접촉 또는 둘 다를 결정하기 위해 상기 히터를 통해 신호가 흐르도록 상기 히터에 신호를 제공하는 과정;
d) 탑승자 유무, 탑승자 부재, 상기 두개의 개별 차량 부품과 상기 탑승자의 접촉 부재, 또는 이들의 결합에 관한 상기 신호를 모니터링 하는 과정을 포함하는 방법.
- 제 9항에 있어서,
상기 방법은, 상기 두개의 개별 부품내에 설치된 상기 히터 사이의 상기 신호의 쉬프트를 모니터링하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제9항 내지 10항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 두개의 개별 부품 중 하나는 조향 휠인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제9항 내지 10항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 두개의 개별 부품 중 하나는 좌석인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제9항 내지 10항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 히터에 제공되는 에너지는 펄스 폭 변조 기술 (a pulse width modulated technique)에 의해 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,
전원과 상기 조향 휠 내부 스위치 사이에 위치한 스위치를 포함하고, 상기 히터에 에너지가 공급될 때 상기 스위치가 닫히고, 상기 개별 부품 내부의 상기 히터들 중 하나 또는 둘 다에 센싱 신호가 인가될 때 상기 스위치가 열리는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,
그라운드와 상기 조향 휠 내부 스위치 사이에 위치한 스위치를 포함하고, 상기 히터에 에너지가 공급될 때 상기 스위치가 닫히고, 상기 개별 부품 내부의 상기 히터 들 중 하나 또는 둘 다에 센싱 신호가 인가될 때 상기 스위치가 열리는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제14항에 있어서,
에너지가 인가되는 동안에는 상기 스위치를 닫고 신호가 인가되는 동안에는 상기 스위치를 여는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
