Abstract
상기 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법에 의해, 활물질간 전도성 증가 효과가 우수한 도전재가 바인더의 흡착없이 조성물내 균일 분산되어 포함됨으로써, 음극내 전극저항을 감소시키고 접착력을 향상시킬 수 있으며, 그 결과로서 리튬 이차전지의 출력특성 및 수명특성을 개선시킬 수 있다.

Claims (26)
- 도전재 및 셀룰로오스계 증점제를 용매 중에서 혼합 및 분산시켜 분산액을 준비하는 단계, 및
상기 분산액에 음극활물질 및 바인더를 첨가하여 혼합하는 단계를 포함하고,
상기 도전재는 1차 입자가 응집된 2차 입자를 포함하고,
상기 2차 입자는 BET 비표면적이 100m2/g 이상이고, 평균입경(D50)이 1㎛ 이하인 것인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법에 있어서,
상기 바인더는 불소계 고분자, 폴리알킬렌계 고분자, 또는 각종 고무 중 1종 단독 또는 2종 이상의 혼합물이고,
상기 셀룰로오스계 증점제는 셀룰로오스계 화합물을 구성하는 고분자의 단위 유닛내 카르복실기의 치환도가 1 내지 1.5이고, 중량평균 분자량(Mw)이 800,000 내지 4,000,000g/mol인 카르복시메틸셀룰로오스를 포함하는 것인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 도전재는 탄소계 물질인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 도전재는 음극활물질 100중량부에 대하여 0.1 내지 5중량부로 포함되는 것인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법.

상기 셀룰로오스계 증점제는 셀룰로오스계 화합물을 구성하는 고분자의 단위 유닛내 카르복실기의 치환도가 1 내지 1.5이고, 중량평균 분자량(Mw)이 800,000 내지 1,200,000g/mol인 카르복시메틸셀룰로오스를 포함하는 것인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 셀룰로오스계 증점제는 음극활물질 100중량부에 대하여 0.1 내지 10중량부로 포함되는 것인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 용매는 수계 용매인 것인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 분산액은 셀룰로오스계 증점제를 용매 중에 용해시켜 제조한 셀룰로오스계 증점제 함유 용액에 도전재를 첨가하여 분산시킴으로써 제조되는 것인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 분산은 10,000 내지 25,000rpm 회전속도의 제트기류에 의해 수행되는 것인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 음극활물질이 SiOx(0<x<2)의 실리콘 산화물 음극활물질과 흑연계 음극활물질이 1:9 내지 5:5의 중량비로 혼합된 혼합물을 포함하는 것인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 바인더는 스티렌 부타디엔계 고무인 것인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 바인더는 평균입경(D50)이 90 내지 150㎚이고, 인장강도가 90 내지 160kgf인 스티렌 부타디엔계 고무인 것인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 바인더는 음극활물질 100중량부에 대하여 1 내지 20중량부로 포함되는 것인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 분산액에 대한 음극활물질 및 바인더의 첨가시, 셀룰로오스계 증점제를 더 첨가하는 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법.
- 제16항에 있어서,
상기 셀룰로오스계 증점제는 셀룰로오스계 화합물을 구성하는 고분자의 단위 유닛내 카르복실기의 치환도가 1 내지 1.5이고, 중량평균 분자량(Mw)이 1,200,000g/mol 초과이고 4,000,000g/mol 이하인 것인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물의 제조방법.
- 제1항에 따른 제조방법에 의해 제조된 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물.
- 제18항에 있어서,
음극활물질 100중량부에 대하여 도전재 1 내지 3중량부, 바인더 1 내지 10중량부, 그리고 셀룰로오스계 증점제 0.5 내지 5중량부를 포함하고,
음극 형성용 조성물의 점도가 25℃에서 1000cps 내지 5000cps가 되도록 하는 양으로 용매를 포함하며,
상기 도전재는 1차 입자가 응집되어 이루어지며, BET 비표면적이 100m2/g 이상이고, 평균입경(D50)이 1㎛ 이하인 2차 입자상의 탄소계 물질을 포함하는 것인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물.
- 제19항에 있어서,
상기 셀룰로오스계 증점제는 서로 다른 중량평균 분자량(Mw)를 갖는 이종의 셀룰로오스계 화합물을 포함하는 것인 리튬 이차전지의 음극 형성용 조성물.
- 제18항에 따른 음극 형성용 조성물을 이용하여 제조된 리튬 이차전지용 음극.
- 제21항에 따른 음극을 포함하는 것인 리튬 이차전지.
- 제22항에 따른 리튬 이차전지를 단위셀로 포함하는 전지모듈.
- 제23항에 따른 전지모듈을 포함하는 전지팩.
- 제24항에 있어서,
중대형 디바이스의 전원으로 사용되는 것인 전지팩.
- 제25항에 있어서,
상기 중대형 디바이스가 전기자동차, 하이브리드 전기자동차, 플러그-인 하이브리드 전기자동차 및 전력 저장용 시스템으로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 것인 전지팩.
