도 2의 (a)는 제조예 4의 과정에서 얻어진 촉매(4)의 투과형 전자 현미경 상이고, 도 2의 (b)는 제조예 5의 과정에서 얻어진 촉매(5)의 투과형 전자 현미경 상이고, 도 2의 (c)는 제조예 13의 과정에서 얻어진 촉매(13)의 투과형 전자 현미경 상.
도 3은 제조예 4에서 얻어진 촉매(4)의 분말 X선 회절 패턴.
도 4는 기동 정지 내구성 시험에 있어서 인가한 삼각파 전위 사이클을 나타내는, 시간과 전압과의 관계를 도시하는 도면.

Claims (12)
- 캐소드와, 애노드와, 양 전극 간에 배치된 전해질막을 갖는 막전극 접합체를 구비한 연료 전지의 운전 방법이며,
상기 캐소드는, 복합 입자를 포함하는 산소 환원 촉매를 함유하는 층을 구비하고,
상기 산소 환원 촉매가 귀금속 원소 또는 그의 합금을 포함하는 입자를 포함하고,
상기 복합 입자는, 금속 원소 M1의 화합물의 1차 입자가 탄소를 포함하는 구조체 중에 분산되어 있는 입자이며,
상기 탄소를 포함하는 구조체는, 그래파이트형 카본 및/또는 아몰퍼스형 카본이고,
상기 복합 입자는, 티타늄, 니오븀, 지르코늄, 탄탈룸 및 주석으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 적어도 1종의 금속 원소 M1, 및 탄소, 질소 및 산소의 각 원자를, 전체 금속 원소 M1의 1몰에 대하여, 탄소를 0.5몰 이상 7몰 이하, 질소를 0몰보다 크고 1몰 이하, 산소를 1몰 이상 3몰 이하의 비율로 함유하고,
상기 캐소드에, 산소 가스를 포함하고, 상기 막전극 접합체의 온도에서의 상대 습도가 60% 이하인 산화제 가스를 공급하고,
상기 애노드에 연료 가스를 공급하는 연료 전지의 운전 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 금속 원소 M1이 티타늄인 연료 전지의 운전 방법. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 복합 입자를 라만 분광 측정하여 얻어지는 스펙트럼에 있어서의 D 밴드의 피크 강도의, G 밴드의 피크 강도에 대한 강도비(D/G비)가 0.4 내지 1.0인 연료 전지의 운전 방법. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 복합 입자가, 철, 니켈, 크롬, 코발트 및 망간으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 적어도 1종의 금속 원소 M2를, 1몰의 금속 원소 M1에 대하여 0.3몰 이하의 비율로 함유하는 연료 전지의 운전 방법. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 금속 원소 M1이 티타늄이며, 상기 복합 입자를 Cu-Kα선을 사용하여 X선 회절 측정하여 얻어지는 회절 패턴에 있어서, 2θ=26 내지 28°의 영역 A, 2θ=35 내지 37°의 영역 B, 2θ=40 내지 42°의 영역 C 및 2θ=53 내지 55°의 영역 D의 각각에 피크가 존재하고, 또한 회절 패턴에 나타나는 모든 피크 중에서 최대의 강도를 갖는 피크가 영역 A에 존재하는 연료 전지의 운전 방법. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 금속 원소 M1이 티타늄이며, X선 흡수단 근방 구조(XANES) 해석으로부터 구한 상기 복합 입자 중의 티타늄의 가수가 3보다 크고 4 미만인 연료 전지의 운전 방법. - 삭제
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 귀금속 원소가, 백금, 팔라듐, 이리듐, 로듐 및 루테늄으로부터 선택되는 적어도 1종의 귀금속인 연료 전지의 운전 방법. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 귀금속 원소의 합금이, 귀금속 원소와, 철, 니켈, 크롬, 코발트, 티타늄, 구리, 바나듐 및 망간으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 적어도 1종의 금속 원소를 포함하는 합금인 연료 전지의 운전 방법. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 애노드가 산소 환원 촉매를 함유하는 층을 구비하고, 상기 산소 환원 촉매가 상기 복합 입자 및 귀금속 원소 또는 그의 합금을 포함하는 입자를 포함하는 연료 전지의 운전 방법. - 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,
상기 애노드에, 상기 연료 가스로서, 상기 막전극 접합체의 온도에서의 상대 습도가 60% 이하인 가스를 공급하는 연료 전지의 운전 방법. - 캐소드와, 애노드와, 양 전극 간에 배치된 전해질막을 갖는 막전극 접합체를 구비한 연료 전지,
상기 캐소드에 산소 가스를 포함하고, 상기 막전극 접합체의 온도에서의 상대 습도가 60% 이하인 산화제 가스를 공급하는 수단, 및
상기 애노드에 연료 가스를 공급하는 수단을 구비하는 발전 장치이며,
상기 캐소드가, 금속 원소 M1의 화합물의 1차 입자가 탄소를 포함하는 구조체 중에 분산되어 이루어지는 복합 입자와 귀금속 원소 또는 그의 합금을 포함하는 입자를 포함하는 산소 환원 촉매를 포함하고,
상기 탄소를 포함하는 구조체는, 그래파이트형 카본 및/또는 아몰퍼스형 카본이고,
상기 복합 입자는, 티타늄, 니오븀, 지르코늄, 탄탈룸 및 주석으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 적어도 1종의 금속 원소 M1, 및 탄소, 질소 및 산소의 각 원자를, 1몰의 금속 원소 M1에 대하여, 탄소를 0.5몰 이상 7몰 이하, 질소를 0몰보다 크고 1몰 이하, 산소를 1몰 이상 3몰 이하의 비율로 함유하는 층을 구비한 캐소드인, 발전 장치.
