Claims (20)
- 무선으로 전력을 전송하는 방법으로서,
무선 전원에서:
상기 무선 전원의 제1 주파수 대역을 이용하여 상기 무선 전원으로부터 외부 장치의 공진 회로로 전력을 무선으로 전달하는 단계;
상기 외부 장치로부터 상기 무선 전원으로부터 무선으로 수신한 전력량의 표시를, 상기 제1 주파수 대역 외의 통신 채널을 통해, 수신하는 단계; 및
상기 외부 장치에 의해 요구되는 전력량이 변경되었다고 결정되는 경우 상기 외부 장치의 공진 회로가 상기 제1 주파수 대역과 상이한 상기 무선 전원의 제2 주파수 대역에 튜닝되도록 하는 단계
를 포함하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 외부 장치에 관련된 정보를 포함하는 무선 네트워킹 프로토콜을 통하여 상기 외부 장치로부터 통신을 수신하는 단계를 더 포함하는 방법. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 정보는 상기 외부 장치의 현재 부하 상태 및/또는 현재 전력 요건(power requirement)을 포함하는, 방법. - 제3항에 있어서,
상기 무선 전원은 상기 현재 부하 상태 및/또는 상기 현재 전력 요건에 따라서 상기 외부 장치로 무선으로 전력을 전달하는, 방법. - 제4항에 있어서,
상기 무선 전원에서 상기 외부 장치와 상이한 다른 외부 장치로부터 통신을 수신하는 단계를 더 포함하는 방법. - 제5항에 있어서,
상기 외부 장치들 중 하나 또는 모두는 그들 각자의 통신들 동안 그들 각자의 현재 부하 상태들 및/또는 그들 각자의 현재 전력 요건을 무선 전력 유닛으로 통신하는, 방법. - 제6항에 있어서,
상기 무선 전원은 그들 각자의 현재 부하 상태들 및/또는 그들 각자의 전력 요건에 따라 상기 외부 장치들 간에 무선 전력 분배를 무선으로 중재하는, 방법. - 제7항에 있어서,
상기 외부 장치들은 그들 각자의 현재 부하 상태들 및/또는 그들 각자의 전력 요건을 서로에게 통신하는, 방법. - 제8항에 있어서,
상기 외부 장치들 중 하나는, 상기 다른 외부 장치의 대응하는 전력 요건에 기초하여 필요한 경우, 상기 무선 전원으로부터 무선으로 수신한 전력의 적어도 일부를 상기 다른 외부 장치로 전달하는, 방법. - 외부 장치로 전력을 무선 전송하도록 구성된 무선 전원으로서,
상기 외부 장치로 상기 무선 전원의 제1 주파수 대역에서의 전력을 무선으로 제공하도록 구성된 공진 전송기를 가지는 무선 전력 전송기; 및
i) 상기 외부 장치로부터 상기 무선 전원으로부터 무선으로 수신한 전력량의 표시를, 상기 제1 주파수 대역 외의 통신 채널을 통해, 수신하고,
(ii) 상기 외부 장치에 의해 요구되는 전력량이 변경되었다고 결정되는 경우 상기 외부 장치가 상기 제1 주파수 대역과 상이한 상기 무선 전원의 제2 주파수 대역에 튜닝되도록 하는 프로세서로부터의 명령을 전송하도록 구성되는 무선 통신 장치
를 포함하는 무선 전원. - 제10항에 있어서,
상기 무선 전원은 상기 무선 전원에 결합된 프로세서를 포함하는 컴퓨팅 장치로 통합되는 무선 전원. - 제11항에 있어서,
상기 외부 장치는 상기 컴퓨팅 장치와 함께 사용되는 주변 장치(peripheral device)인, 무선 전원. - 제12항에 있어서,
상기 무선 전력 전송기는 상기 컴퓨팅 장치로부터 연장되는 무선 충전 존(wireless charging zone)을 정의하는, 무선 전원. - 제13항에 있어서,
상기 주변 장치는 상기 무선 충전 존에 있는 동안 상기 주변 장치의 동작 가능성(operability)을 유지하기 위하여 충분한 전력량을 무선으로 수신하는, 무선 전원. - 컴퓨팅 장치로서,
프로세서;
상기 프로세서에 결합되고 전력을 제공하도록 구성된 전원을 포함하는 무선 전력 유닛
- 상기 전원은 공진 주파수에서의 전자기장을 생성하도록 구성된 공진 회로에 결합되고, 상기 전자기장은 상기 전력의 적어도 일부와 연관됨 - ;
상기 무선 전력 유닛을 휴대하는(carry) 하우징 바디 - 상기 하우징 바디의 무선 주파수(RF) 방사 부분(emissive portion)은 상기 공진 주파수에서의 상기 전자기장을 사용하여 상기 RF 방사 부분으로부터 외부 장치로 전력을 무선으로 전달하기 위한 무선 전력 전송기로서 동작하도록 구성됨 -; 및
상기 외부 장치로부터의 통신을 수신할 수 있는 RF 송수신기 유닛을 포함하고, 상기 외부 장치는, 상기 통신 동안, 상기 외부 장치의 현재 부하 상태 및/또는 현재 전력 요건을 상기 컴퓨팅 장치로 통신하는, 컴퓨팅 장치. - 제15항에 있어서,
상기 RF 송수신기 유닛은 다른 외부 장치로부터 통신을 수신할 수 있고, 상기 다른 외부 장치는, 상기 통신 동안, 상기 다른 외부 장치의 현재 부하 상태 및/또는 현재 전력 요건을 상기 컴퓨팅 장치로 통신하는, 컴퓨팅 장치. - 제16항에 있어서,
상기 RF 송수신기 유닛은 그들 각자의 현재 부하 상태들 및/또는 그들 각자의 전력 요건에 따라 상기 외부 장치들 간에 무선 전력 분배를 무선으로 중재하기 위하여, 상기 외부 장치 및 상기 다른 외부 장치로 정보를 통신할 수 있는, 컴퓨팅 장치. - 제15항에 있어서,
상기 RF 송수신기 유닛에서 무선 네트워킹 프로토콜을 통하여 수신된 정보는 상기 프로세서로 전달되며, 그 다음 상기 프로세서는 상기 무선 전력 유닛에게 상기 하우징 바디의 RF 방사 부분을 통하여 상기 외부 장치로 전력을 무선으로 전달하도록 지시하는, 컴퓨팅 장치. - 제18항에 있어서,
