- 제1색을 표시하는 제1 화소,제2색을 표시하는 제2 화소,제3색을 표시하는 제3 화소, 그리고제1 백색을 표시하는 백색 화소를 포함하고,상기 제1 내지 제3 화소는 합동으로 제2 백색을 표시하며,상기 제1 백색과 상기 제2 백색의 비율이 계조에 따라 다르며,상기 제1 백색은 계조에 따라 색좌표가 달라지는표시 장치.
- 제1항에서,상기 제1 백색과 상기 제2 백색은 색좌표가 서로 다른 표시 장치.
- 삭제
- 제1항에서,상기 제1 백색의 색좌표는 계조가 높아질수록 상기 제2 백색의 색좌표에 가까워지는 표시 장치.
- 제4항에서,상기 제1 백색의 비율은 낮은 계조보다 높은 계조에서 더 높은 표시 장치.
- 제5항에서,계조가 소정 값보다 작으면 상기 제2 백색이 100%이고, 계조가 소정 값보다 크면 상기 제1 백색이 100%인 표시 장치.

- 3색의 입력 영상 신호를 3색의 출력 영상 신호와 백색 출력 영상 신호를 포함하는 4색 출력 영상 신호로 변환하여 표시하는 표시 장치로서,상기 입력 영상 신호를 계조 순서로 배열하여 최대 입력 계조, 중간 입력 계조 및 최소 입력 계조를 구하는 배열부,상기 최대 입력 계조, 상기 중간 입력 계조 및 상기 최소 입력 계조를 각각 감마 변환하여 최대 입력 휘도, 중간 입력 휘도 및 최소 입력 휘도를 생성하는 감마 변환부,상기 최소 입력 휘도로부터 백색 출력 휘도를 구하고 상기 백색 출력 휘도에 기초하여 상기 최대 입력 휘도, 상기 중간 입력 휘도 및 상기 최소 입력 휘도를 변 환하여 최대 출력 휘도, 중간 출력 휘도 및 최소 출력 휘도를 구하는 연산부,상기 백색 출력 휘도, 상기 최대 출력 휘도, 상기 중간 출력 휘도 및 상기 최소 출력 휘도를 역감마 변환하여 백색 출력 계조, 최대 출력 계조, 중간 출력 계조 및 최소 출력 계조를 구하는 역감마 변환부,상기 백색 출력 계조, 상기 최대 출력 계조, 상기 중간 출력 계조 및 상기 최소 출력 계조의 배열 순서를 복원하여 상기 4색 출력 영상 신호를 생성하는 배열 복원부, 그리고상기 4색 출력 영상 신호에 따라 표시 동작을 수행하는 4색 화소를 포함하며,상기 백색 출력 휘도는 적어도 일부 값에 대하여 상기 최소 입력 휘도의 비선형 함수인표시 장치.
- 제8항에서,상기 최대 출력 휘도, 상기 중간 출력 휘도 및 상기 최소 출력 휘도는 각각 상기 최대 입력 휘도, 상기 중간 입력 휘도 및 상기 최소 입력 휘도에서 상기 백색 출력 휘도를 뺀 값을 가지는 표시 장치.
- 제9항에서,상기 최소 입력 휘도가 소정 값보다 작으면 상기 백색 출력 휘도가 0이고, 상기 소정 값 이상이면 상기 백색 출력 휘도가 상기 최소 입력 휘도와 동일한 값을 가지는 표시 장치.
- 제9항에서,상기 백색 출력 휘도는 상기 최소 입력 휘도의 연속 증가 함수인 표시 장치.

- 3색의 입력 영상 신호를 계조 순서로 배열하여 최대 입력 계조, 중간 입력 계조 및 최소 입력 계조를 구하는 단계,상기 최대 입력 계조, 상기 중간 입력 계조 및 상기 최소 입력 계조를 각각 감마 변환하여 최대 입력 휘도, 중간 입력 휘도 및 최소 입력 휘도를 생성하는 단계,상기 최소 입력 휘도로부터 백색 출력 휘도를 구하고 상기 백색 출력 휘도에 기초하여 상기 최대 입력 휘도, 상기 중간 입력 휘도 및 상기 최소 입력 휘도를 변환하여 최대 출력 휘도, 중간 출력 휘도 및 최소 출력 휘도를 구하는 단계,상기 백색 출력 휘도, 상기 최대 출력 휘도, 상기 중간 출력 휘도 및 상기 최소 출력 휘도를 역감마 변환하여 백색 출력 계조, 최대 출력 계조, 중간 출력 계조 및 최소 출력 계조를 구하는 단계, 그리고상기 백색 출력 계조, 상기 최대 출력 계조, 상기 중간 출력 계조 및 상기 최소 출력 계조의 배열 순서를 복원하여 4색의 출력 영상 신호를 생성하는 단계를 포함하며,상기 백색 출력 휘도는 적어도 일부 값에 대하여 상기 최소 입력 휘도의 비선형 함수인표시 장치의 4색 변환 방법.
- 제17항에서,상기 최소 입력 휘도가 소정 값보다 작으면 상기 백색 출력 휘도가 0이고, 상기 소정 값 이상이면 상기 백색 출력 휘도가 상기 최소 입력 휘도와 동일한 값을 가지는 표시 장치의 4색 변환 방법.
