Claims (13)
- 복수의 게이트라인과 복수의 데이터라인에 의해 정의되는 영역마다 화소셀이 형성된 액정패널과,상기 데이터라인들에 데이터 신호를 공급하는 데이터 드라이버와,상기 게이트라인들에 게이트 신호를 공급하는 게이트 드라이버와,한 프레임의 데이터를 저장하는 메모리부를 포함하고, 상기 데이터 드라이버 및 게이트 드라이버를 제어하며, 상기 액정패널에 정상화면 또는 반전화면을 표시하기 위하여 상기 메모리부에 저장된 데이터의 출력순서를 변경하여 상기 데이터 드라이버로 출력하는 타이밍 콘트롤러를 포함하고,상기 메모리부는상기 타이밍 컨트롤러의 외부로부터 공급되며, 상기 정상화면 또는 반전화면을 지시하는 선택신호에 직접 응답하여 상기 저장된 데이터의 출력순서를 변경하여,상기 선택신호가 상기 정상화면을 지시할 때 상기 저장된 데이터를 입력순서와 동일한 순서로 출력하고,상기 선택신호가 상기 정상화면 대비 상하좌우로 반전된 상기 반전화면을 지시할 때 상기 저장된 데이터를 상기 입력순서와 상반된 순서로 출력하며,상기 데이터 드라이버는 상기 액정 패널의 제1측에 배치된 데이터 집적회로(이하, IC)들을 포함하고, 상기 데이터 IC들은 상기 타이밍 컨트롤러로부터의 데이터를 캐스케이드 방식으로 공급받고,상기 정상화면 및 반전화면에 상관없이 상기 타이밍 컨트롤러가 소스 스타트 펄스를 상기 타이밍 컨트롤러와 가까운 첫번째 데이터 IC로 공급하여, 상기 데이터 IC들은 상기 정상화면 및 반전화면에 상관없이 동일한 방향으로 데이터를 래치하고,상기 게이트 드라이버는 상기 액정 패널의 제2측에 배치된 게이트 IC들을 포함하고, 상기 게이트 IC들은 상기 타이밍 컨트롤러로부터의 게이트 구동 신호들을 캐스케이드 방식으로 공급받고,상기 정상화면 및 반전화면에 상관없이 상기 타이밍 컨트롤러가 게이트 스타트 펄스를 상기 타이밍 컨트롤러와 가까운 첫번째 게이트 IC로 공급하여, 상기 게이트 IC들은 상기 정상화면 및 반전화면에 상관없이 동일한 방향으로 구동되며,상기 타이밍 컨트롤러로부터 상기 첫번째 데이터 IC로 공급되는 상기 소스 스타트 펄스와, 상기 타이밍 컨트롤러로부터 상기 첫번째 게이트 IC로 공급되는 상기 게이트 스타트 펄스는, 상기 타이밍 컨트롤러가 실장된 제어보드와 상기 액정패널 사이에 전기적으로 접속된 단일의 플렉서블 인쇄 회로를 경유하여 상기 제어보드로부터 상기 액정패널로 공급되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
