Claims (4)
- 화소의 집합으로 이루어진 표시화면을 갖는 수직 배향형의 액정표시장치에 있어서,하나의 화소 각각은기판 상에 형성된 박막트랜지스터와 접속된 화소전극이 형성되며, 인가되는 전압에 의해 경사 방위로 액정분자가 기울어지도록 배향 제어된 표시 제어 영역과,상기 기판 상에 형성된 공통 라인과 접속되는 시야각 제어 전극이 형성되며, 상기 표시 제어 영역과 공통의 상기 공통라인을 통해 인가되는 제어 전압에 따라 상하방위 또는 좌우방위로 액정분자가 기울어지도록 배향 제어되는 시야각 제어 영역을 구비하고,상기 표시 제어 영역에 형성되는 화소전극 및 상기 시야각 제어 영역에 형성되는 시야각 제어 전극은 상기 기판 상에 형성된 게이트 절연막 및 보호막을 사이에 두고 투명전극에 의한 2층 구조를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 시야각 제어 영역은 상기 공통라인을 통해 블랭킹 기간에 제어전압이 인가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 시야각 제어 영역에 대향하는 기판상에 칼라 필터에 의한 착색층을 형성하지 않는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 경사 방위로 액정분자가 기울어지도록 배향 제어된 표시 제어 영역에 투명한 화소전극을 기판 상에 형성하는 제 1 공정과,상기 기판 상에 게이트 전극, 공통 라인, 데이터 패드를 형성하는 제 2 공정과,게이트 절연막을 형성함과 함께 상기 게이트 전극상에 소오스 전극 및 드레인 전극을 형성하는 제 3 공정과,패시베이션층을 상기 기판 전면에 형성한 후에 콘택홀을 형성하는 제 4 공정과,상기 화소전극과 접속되는 부하 용량을 형성함과 함께 상하방위 혹은 좌우방위로 액정분자가 기울어지도록 배향 제어되고 상기 표시 제어 영역과 공통의 상기 공통라인을 통해 제어전압이 인가되는 시야각 제어 영역에 투명한 시야각 제어 전극을 형성하는 제 5 공정을 포함하여 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 제조방법.
