Claims (10)
- 제1 방향 음각패턴 라인들이 형성되어 제1 방향의 도파 채널들을 정의하는 제1 도광판;상기 제1 도광판의 아래에 배치되고 상기 제1 방향 음각패턴 라인과 교차되는 제2 방향 음각패턴 라인들이 형성되어 제2 방향의 도파 채널들을 정의하는 제2 도광판;상기 제1 도광판의 적어도 일측면과 대향하도록 배치되어 상기 제1 방향의 도파 채널들에 빛을 조사하는 제1 광원들; 및상기 제2 도광판의 적어도 일측면과 대향하도록 배치되어 상기 제2 방향의 도파 채널들에 빛을 조사하는 제2 광원들을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제1 방향의 도파 채널들과 상기 제2 방향의 도파 채널들의 직교에 의해 상기 도광판들로부터 조사되는 면광원은 매트릭스 형태의 블록들로 분할되는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제1 방향 음각패턴 라인들 각각의 깊이는 상기 제1 도광판의 두께보다 낮고,상기 제2 방향 음각패턴 라인들 각각의 깊이는 상기 제2 도광판의 두께보다 낮은 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제1 방향 음각패턴 라인들과 상기 제2 방향 음각패턴 라인들 각각의 단면 형상은 사각형, 삼각형, 원형, 타원형 중 적어도 어느 한 형태를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제1 도광판은,상기 제1 방향의 도파 채널 내에서 상기 제1 도광판의 상면 또는 하면에 형성되고 상기 제1 방향 음각패턴 라인의 깊이보다 낮은 높이를 갖는 제1 미세 음각/양각 패턴들을 구비하고,상기 제2 도광판은,상기 제2 방향의 도파 채널 내에서 상기 제2 도광판의 상면 또는 하면에 형성되고 상기 제2 방향 음각패턴 라인의 깊이보다 낮은 높이를 갖는 제2 미세 음각/양각 패턴들을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 백라이트 유닛.
- 액정표시패널; 및제1 방향 음각패턴 라인들이 형성되어 제1 방향의 도파 채널들을 정의하는 제1 도광판, 상기 제1 도광판의 아래에 배치되고 상기 제1 방향 음각패턴 라인과 교차되는 제2 방향 음각패턴 라인들이 형성되어 제2 방향의 도파 채널들을 정의하는 제2 도광판, 상기 제1 도광판의 적어도 일측면과 대향하도록 배치되어 상기 제1 방향의 도파 채널들에 빛을 조사하는 제1 광원들, 및 상기 제2 도광판의 적어도 일측면과 대향하도록 배치되어 상기 제2 방향의 도파 채널들에 빛을 조사하는 제2 광원들을 포함하여 상기 액정표시패널에 빛을 조사하는 백라이트 유닛을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 제1 방향의 도파 채널들과 상기 제2 방향의 도파 채널들의 직교에 의해 상기 도광판들로부터 상기 액정표시패널로 조사되는 면광원은 매트릭스 형태의 블록들로 분할되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,입력 영상을 분석하여 로컬 디밍신호를 발생하는 영상 분석부; 및상기 로컬 디밍신호에 응답하여 상기 제1 광원들과 상기 제2 광원들 각각의 휘도를 개별 제어하는 광원 구동부들을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 제1 방향 음각패턴 라인들 각각의 깊이는 상기 제1 도광판의 두께보다 낮고,상기 제2 방향 음각패턴 라인들 각각의 깊이는 상기 제2 도광판의 두께보다 낮은 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 제1 방향 음각패턴 라인들과 상기 제2 방향 음각패턴 라인들 각각의 단면 형상은 사각형, 삼각형, 원형, 타원형 중 적어도 어느 한 형태를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
