적당한 A1 라디칼로는 m-페닐렌, p-페닐렌, 4,4'-바이페닐렌, 4,4'-비스(3,5-다이메틸)페닐렌, 2,3-비스(4-페닐렌)프로판 및 미국 특허 제4,217,438호에 명칭 또는 화학식으로 개시된 것과 같은 유사한 라디칼이 있다. 비스페놀(화학식 VI)은 비스페놀 A(BPA), 비스페놀 M, 비스페놀 Z 등을 포함한다.
A2 및 A3은 각각 모노사이클릭 2가 방향족 탄화수소 라디칼이고;
Q는 가교 탄화수소 라디칼로서, 하나 또는 2개의 원자는 A3으로부터 A2를 분리한다.
상기 화학식 VII에서 자유 원자가(free valence) 결합은 Q에 대하여 통상 A2 및 A3의 메타 또는 파라 위치에 존재한다. A2 및 A3은 치환된 페닐렌 또는 그 탄화수소 치환된 유도체일 수 있으며, 예시적인 치환기(하나 이상의)로 알킬 및 알케닐, 비치환된 페닐렌 라디칼이 바람직하다. A2 및 A3은 비록 2개 모두가 o- 또는 m-페닐렌이거나, 또는 하나가 o- 또는 m-페닐렌이고 다른 하나가 p-페닐렌일지라도, p-페닐렌이 바람직하다.
Claims (56)
- 촉매 시스템의 존재하에 120℃ 내지 220℃의 온도에서 하나 이상의 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌을 액상 반응 혼합물 중에서 산소 및 아세트산과 접촉시켜, 10% 미만의 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌 출발물질, 할로프탈산 생성물, 및 생성 혼합물 중에 존재하는 할로프탈산의 총 함량을 기준으로 10,000ppm 미만의 할로벤조산 부산물 및 1,000ppm 미만의 할로프탈라이드 부산물을 포함하는 생성 혼합물을 수득하는 단계를 포함하는, 할로프탈산의 제조방법으로서,상기 촉매 시스템이 본질적으로 코발트 이온 공급원, 망간 이온 공급원, 및 브로마이드 이온 공급원으로 이루어지고,상기 반응 혼합물이 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌에 대한 코발트 이온의 초기 몰비가 2% 미만이고, 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌에 대한 망간 이온의 초기 몰비가 1.5% 미만이고, 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌에 대한 브로마이드 이온의 초기 몰비가 0.5% 미만인 것을 특징으로 하고,상기 산소가 0.00001 내지 15bar의 산소 부분압에 상응하는 양으로 존재하는할로프탈산의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,코발트 이온 공급원이 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌을 기준으로 1.5몰% 미만으로 존재하는, 할로프탈산의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,망간 이온 공급원이 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌을 기준으로 1.0몰% 미만으로 존재하는, 할로프탈산의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,브로마이드 이온 공급원이 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌을 기준으로 0.35몰% 미만으로 존재하는, 할로프탈산의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,촉매 시스템의 존재하에 120℃ 내지 220℃의 온도에서 하나 이상의 클로로-치환된 o-자일렌을 액상 반응 혼합물 중에서 산소 및 아세트산과 접촉시켜, 10% 미만의 클로로-치환된 o-자일렌 출발물질, 클로로프탈산 생성물, 및 생성 혼합물 중에 존재하는 총 함량의 클로로프탈산을 기준으로 10,000ppm 미만의 클로로벤조산 부산물 및 1,000ppm 미만의 클로로프탈라이드를 포함하는 생성 혼합물을 수득하는 단계를 포함하는, 클로로프탈산의 제조방법으로서,상기 촉매 시스템이 본질적으로 코발트 이온 공급원, 망간 이온 공급원, 및 브로마이드 이온 공급원으로 이루어지고,상기 반응 혼합물이 클로로-치환된 o-자일렌에 대한 코발트(II) 아세테이트의 초기 몰비가 2% 미만이고, 클로로-치환된 o-자일렌에 대한 망간(II) 아세테이트의 초기 몰비가 1.5% 미만이고, 클로로-치환된 o-자일렌에 대한 나트륨 브로마이드의 초기 몰비가 0.5% 미만인 것을 특징으로 하고,상기 산소가 0.00001 내지 15bar의 산소 부분압에 상응하는 양으로 존재하는클로로프탈산의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,(A) 촉매 시스템의 존재하에 120℃ 내지 220℃의 온도에서 하나 이상의 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌을 액상 반응 혼합물 중에서 산소 및 아세트산과 접촉시켜, 10% 미만의 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌 출발물질, 할로프탈산 생성물, 및 1차 생성 혼합물 중에 존재하는 할로프탈산의 총 함량을 기준으로 10,000ppm 미만의 할로벤조산 부산물 및 1,000ppm 미만의 할로프탈라이드를 포함하는 1차 생성 혼합물을 수득하는 단계로서,상기 촉매 시스템이 본질적으로 코발트 이온 공급원, 망간 이온 공급원, 및 브로마이드 이온 공급원으로 이루어지고,상기 반응 혼합물이 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌에 대한 코발트 이온의 초기 몰비가 2% 미만이고, 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌에 대한 망간 이온의 초기 몰비가 1.5% 미만이고, 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌에 대한 브로마이드 이온의 초기 몰비가 0.5% 미만인 것을 특징으로 하고,상기 산소가 0.0001 내지 15bar의 산소 부분압에 상응하는 양으로 존재하는단계;(B) 상기 1차 생성 혼합물로부터 물과 아세트산을 스트리핑하는 단계;(C) 상기 할로프탈산을 폐환시켜 할로프탈산 무수물, 할로벤조산, 및 촉매 시스템을 포함하는 2차 생성 혼합물을 수득하는 단계;(D) 상기 2차 생성 혼합물에 대해 1차 증발 분리를 수행하여 할로프탈산 무수물, 할로벤조산, 및 할로프탈산 무수물을 포함하는 잔여 촉매 혼합물을 포함하는 3차 생성 혼합물을 수득하는 단계; 및(E) 상기 3차 생성 혼합물에 대해 2차 증발 분리를 수행하여 500ppm 미만의 할로벤조산 및 500ppm 미만의 할로프탈라이드를 포함하는 정제된 할로프탈산 무수물을 수득하는 단계를 포함하는, 할로프탈산 무수물의 제조방법.
- 촉매 시스템의 존재하에 120℃ 내지 220℃의 온도에서 하나 이상의 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌을 액상 반응 혼합물 중에서 산소 및 아세트산과 접촉시켜, 10% 미만의 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌 출발물질, 할로프탈산 생성물, 및 생성 혼합물 중에 존재하는 할로프탈산의 총 함량을 기준으로 10,000ppm 미만의 할로벤조산 부산물 및 1,000ppm 미만의 할로프탈라이드 부산물을 포함하는 생성 혼합물을 수득하는 단계로서,상기 촉매 시스템이 본질적으로 코발트 이온 공급원, 망간 이온 공급원, 및 브로마이드 이온 공급원으로 구성되고,상기 반응 혼합물이 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌에 대한 코발트 이온의 초기 몰비가 2% 미만이고, 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌에 대한 망간 이온의 초기 몰비가 1.5% 미만이고, 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌에 대한 브로마이드 이온의 초기 몰비가 0.5% 미만인 것을 특징으로 하고,상기 산소가 0.00001 내지 15bar의 산소 부분압에 상응하는 양으로 존재하는단계;상기 할로프탈산을 탈수시켜 할로프탈산 무수물을 수득하는 단계;상기 할로프탈산 무수물을 1,3-다이아미노벤젠과 반응시켜 하기 화학식 V의 비스(할로프탈이미드)를 수득하는 단계; 및상기 화학식 V의 비스(할로프탈이미드)를 하기 화학식 VI의 다이하이드록시 치환된 방향족 화합물의 알칼리 금속 염과 반응시켜 폴리에터이미드를 수득하는 단계를 포함하는, 폴리에터이미드의 제조방법:화학식 V화학식 VIHO-A1-OH상기 식에서,X는 할로겐이고;A1은 2가 방향족 라디칼이다.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,(A) 촉매 시스템의 존재하에 120℃ 내지 220℃의 온도에서 하나 이상의 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌을 액상 반응 혼합물 중에서 산소 및 아세트산과 접촉시켜, 10% 미만의 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌 출발물질, 할로프탈산 생성물, 및 1차 생성 혼합물 중에 존재하는 할로프탈산의 총 함량을 기준으로 10,000ppm 미만의 할로벤조산 부산물 및 1,000ppm 미만의 할로프탈라이드를 포함하는 1차 생성 혼합물을 수득하는 단계로서,상기 촉매 시스템이 본질적으로 코발트 이온 공급원, 망간 이온 공급원, 및 브로마이드 이온 공급원으로 구성되고,상기 반응 혼합물이 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌에 대한 코발트 이온의 초기 몰비가 2% 미만이고, 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌에 대한 망간 이온의 초기 몰비가 1.5% 미만이고, 할로겐-치환된 o-자일렌에 대한 브로마이드 이온의 초기 몰비가 0.5% 미만인 것을 특징으로 하고,상기 산소가 0.0001 내지 15bar의 산소 부분압에 상응하는 양으로 존재하는단계; 및(B) 상기 1차 생성 혼합물로부터 물, 아세트산 및 염산을 포함하는 혼합물을 스트리핑하여 물, 아세트산 및 염산을 포함하는 회수된 미정제 아세트산 용매를 수득하는 단계를 포함하는, 할로프탈산의 제조방법.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,회수된 미정제 아세트산 용매가 하나 이상의 증류 단계에 의해 정제되는, 할로프탈산의 제조방법.
- 제 9 항에 있어서,증류 단계가 물, 아세트산 및 염산을 포함하는 혼합물을 증류 칼럼내로 도입하고, 상기 칼럼으로부터 80 중량% 이상의 물을 함유하는 수-풍부 성분, 90 중량% 이상의 아세트산을 함유하는 아세트산-풍부 성분 및 0.1 내지 5 중량%의 HCl을 함유하는 HCl-풍부 성분을 제거하는 것을 포함하는, 할로프탈산의 제조방법.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,HCl-풍부 성분이 측면-배출 스트림으로서 제거되는, 할로프탈산의 제조방법.
