Claims (12)
- 배기가스의 후처리시스템이 엔진배기통로에 배치되고, 엔진 출력을 발생시키기 위해 연소실 안으로 공급되는 연소용 연료 이외에 상기 후처리시스템의 배기가스 내의 유해 성분을 처리하기 위한 후처리용 연료가 공급되며, 상기 엔진의 운전 파라미터의 값이 상기 엔진의 운전 상태에 따라 사전 설정되고, 상기 후처리용 연료를 공급하는 방법이 사전 설정되는 내연기관에 있어서,상기 엔진의 운전 기간이 사전설정된 기간을 경과할 때마다, 상기 후처리시스템의 열화도에 대응하는 후처리용 연료의 소비량을 구하고, 상기 운전 파라미터의 값을 변경할 때의 상기 배기가스 내의 유해 성분량의 변화 및 상기 연소용 연료의 소비량의 변화를 토대로, 또는 상기 후처리시스템의 열화도 및 유해 성분량의 변화에 따른 후처리용 연료의 소비량의 변화를 토대로, 상기 운전 파라미터의 값과 상기 후처리용 연료를 공급하는 방법이 재설정되어, 대기 중에 배출되는 배기가스 내의 유해 성분량을 규제값 이하로 유지하면서, 상기 연료의 일정 주행 거리당 상기 연소용 연료 및 후처리용 연료의 전체 소비량이 최소가 되도록 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
- 제1항에 있어서,차량의 누적 운전 시간, 상기 차량의 누적 주행 거리 또는 상기 엔진의 누적 회전수가 미리 설정된 값을 초과할 때, 상기 엔진의 운전 기간이 사전설정된 기간을 경과한 것으로 판정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 후처리시스템의 열화도가 사전설정된 열화도를 초과할 때, 상기 엔진의 운전 기간이 사전설정된 기간을 경과한 것으로 판정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.

- 제1항에 있어서,상기 운전 파라미터의 값을 변경할 때, 상기 배기가스 내의 유해 성분량의 변화 및 상기 연소용 연료의 소비량의 변화는 사전에 미리 저장되고, 상기 유해 성분량이 변화할 때의 상기 후처리용 연료의 변화는 상기 후처리시스템의 열화도의 함수로서 저장되며, 상기 엔진의 운전 기간이 사전설정된 기간을 경과할 때마다, 여러 방식으로 상기 운전 파라미터를 변경할 때의 연소용 연료의 소비량 및 상기 배기가스 내의 유해 성분의 변화와 이 때의 후처리시스템의 열화도에 따른 후처리용 연료의 소비량이 구해지고, 상기 운전 파라미터의 값과 상기 후처리용 연료를 공급하는 방법이 재설정되어, 후처리용 연료의 소비량 및 상기 연소용 연료의 소비량을 토대로, 대기 중에 배출되는 배기가스의 유해 성분량을 규제값 이하로 유지하면서, 일정 주행 거리당 연료소비량이 최소가 되도록 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 운전 파라미터들 중 하나는 상기 연소용 연료의 분사 시기이고, 상기 분사시기가 진각이 됨에 따라, 상기 연소용 연료의 소비량과 상기 연소실로부터 배출되는 입자상물질의 양은 감소되며, 상기 연소실로부터 배출되는 NOx의 양은 증가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 운전 파라미터들 중 하나는 배기가스재순환율이고, 상기 배기가스재순환율이 증가됨에 따라, 상기 연소용 연료의 소비량과 상기 연소실로부터 배출되는 입자상물질의 양은 증가되며, 상기 연소실로부터 배출되는 NOx의 양은 감소되는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 후처리시스템은, 유입되는 배기가스의 공연비가 린일 때 상기 배기가스 내에 함유된 NOx를 흡장하고, 상기 유입되는 배기가스의 공연비가 이론공연비 또는 리치가 될 때 상기 흡장된 NOx를 방출시키는 NOx흡장환원촉매를 구비하고, 상기 NOx흡장환원촉매로부터 NOx를 방출시키기 위하여 상기 NOx흡장환원촉매로 유입되는 배기가스의 공연비를 이론공연비 또는 리치로 만들 때 상기 NOx흡장환원촉매 상류의 배기통로 또는 연소실 내로 상기 후처리용 연료가 공급되며, 상기 후처리용 연료의 소비량은 상기 연소실로부터 배출되는 NOx의 양이 증가할 수록 증가되고, 상기 NOx흡장환원촉매의 열화도가 높아질 수록 증가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 후처리시스템은 상기 배기가스 내에 함유된 입자상을 포획하기 위한 입자상필터를 구비하고, 상기 입자상필터 상에 포획된 입자상물질을 연소할 때 상기 입자상필터 상류의 배기통로 또는 연소실 안으로 후처리용 연료가 공급되며, 후처 리용 연료의 소비량은 상기 연소실로부터 배출되는 입자상물질의 양이 증가할 수록 증가되고, 상기 입자상필터의 열화도가 높아질 수록 증가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 NOx흡장환원촉매는 상기 입자상필터 상에 탑재되는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 후처리시스템은 상기 NOx흡장환원촉매 상류의 배기통로에 배치되어 상기 배기가스 내의 SOx를 포획할 수 있는 SOx포획촉매를 구비하고, 상기 SOx포획촉매는 상기 SOx포획촉매의 온도가 상기 배기가스의 린 공연비 하에 상승할 때 포획된 SOx가 상기 SOx포획촉매 내부로 점진적으로 확산하는 성질을 가지며, 상기 후처리용 연료는 상기 SOx포획촉매의 SOx포획율을 회복시키기 위하여 상기 SOx포획촉매의 온도를 상승시킬 때 상기 SOx포획촉매 상류의 배기통로 또는 연소실 안으로 공급되고, 상기 후처리용 연료의 소비량은 상기 연소실로부터 배출되는 SOx의 양이 증가할 수록 증가되며, 상기 SOx포획촉매의 열화도가 높아질 수록 증가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관.
