- 통신 네트워크 내에서, 이동 애셋(asset) 위치를 결정하는데 유용한 위치식별신호들을 제공하는 방법으로서,상기 방법은,상기 네트워크 내에서 기상(wake-up)신호를 수신하는 단계;상기 기상신호에 응답하여 셀룰러 네트워크의 제1 셀내에서 제1 채널상에서의 무선주파수 에너지의 존재를 검출하는 단계;상기 무선주파수 에너지가 설정된 문턱치보다 실질적으로 작으면, 상기 제1 채널상에서의 상기 위치 식별 신호들을 전송하는 단계;상기 제1 채널상에서의 상기 무선 주파수 에너지가 상기 문턱치보다 실질적으로 작지 않으면, 상기 셀룰라 네트워크의 제2 셀내에서 제2 채널상에서의 무선주파수 에너지의 존재를 검출하는 단계; 및상기 제2 채널상에서의 무선주파수 에너지가 설정된 문턱치보다 실질적으로 작으면, 상기 제2 채널상에서의 상기 위치 식별 신호들을 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 위치식별신호들을 제공하는 방법.
- 제24항에 있어서,상기 전송하는 단계는, 도착시간 산출을 위하여 선택된 적어도 하나의 정보 시퀀스를 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 위치식별신호들을 제공하는 방법.

- 제34항에 있어서,상기 전송기는 도착시간 산출을 위하여 선택된 적어도 하나의 정보 시퀀스(sequence)를 전송하도록 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 이동유닛.
