- 각 그룹이 다른 배기정화촉매에 연결되는 복수의 실린더 그룹을 구비하는 내연기관용 배기정화장치에 있어서,각 배기정화촉매 내 배기가스의 유량을 개별적으로 추정하는 추정수단; 및대응되는 상기 배기정화촉매에 연결되는 실린더 각 그룹의 제어방식을, 상기 배기정화촉매의 배기가스의 추정유량에 따라 개별적으로 설정하는 설정수단을 포함하며,내연기관은, 제 1 배기정화촉매에 연결되는 제 1 실린더 그룹과, 상기 제 1 배기정화촉매와는 분리된 제 2 배기정화촉매에 연결되는 제 2 실린더 그룹을 구비하고, 상기 내연기관은, 실린더 그룹 중 하나에 대응하는 각 배기통로를 더욱 구비하고, 상기 배기통로는 상기 각 실린더 그룹의 배기가스가 상기 대응하는 배기정화촉매를 통과한 후에 합쳐지고,상기 추정수단은, 상기 제 1 배기정화촉매를 통과하는 배기가스의 온도(T1), 상기 제 2 배기정화촉매를 통과하는 배기가스의 온도(T2), 합쳐진 후의 배기가스의 온도(T), 및 합쳐진 후의 배기가스의 질량유량(G)에 기초하여, 상기 제 1 배기정화촉매를 통과하는 배기가스의 질량유량(G1)과 상기 제 2 배기정화촉매를 통과하는 배기가스의 질량유량(G2)을 다음의 수학식 (1), (2)를 이용하여 계산함으로써 배기가스의 유량을 추정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 배기정화장치.G1 = G × (T - T2)/(T1 - T2) (1)G2 = G × (T - T1)/(T2 - T1) (2)
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 온도(T, T1, T2)의 검출위치 간 편차를 보상하기 위해, 배기가스의 상기 온도(T, T1, T2)의 검출값에 보정이 행해지는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 배기정화장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 합쳐진 후의 배기가스의 질량유량(G)은, 단위시간당 내연기관으로 분사된 연료의 총 질량과 흡기의 질량유량의 합으로 계산되는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 배기정화장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 설정수단은 실린더 그룹마다 배기가스의 상기 유량을 개별적으로 조정하여 상기 배기정화촉매 내 배기가스의 추정유량 간 편차가 감소하도록 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 배기정화장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 설정수단은, 상기 배기정화촉매 내 배기가스의 추정유량에 기초하여 실린더 그룹마다 각 배기정화촉매에 첨가되는 환원제의 양을 개별적으로 설정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 배기정화장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 내연기관은, 각각이 상기 제 1 실린더 그룹 및 제 2 실린더 그룹 중 하나에 대응되는 흡기통로와, 상기 흡기통로에 공통으로 연결되는 흡기 매니폴드를 포함하고,각 배기통로로부터, 대응되는 상기 흡기통로까지 배기가스를 재순환하는 배기가스 재순환장치가 각 실린더 그룹에 제공되고, 각 배기가스 재순환장치는 상기 흡기 매니폴드를 그에 대응되는 배기통로에 연결시키는 배기가스 재순환통로와, 상기 배기가스 재순환통로 내에 제공되는 배기가스 재순환밸브를 구비하고,상기 촉매제어수단은 상기 배기가스 재순환밸브로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 내연기관용 배기정화장치.
