발명의 요약
본 발명은 피셔-트롭쉬 원료 왁스에 존재할 수 있는 산화물, 올레핀 및 임의의 방향족 종을 제거하면서 동시에 경도를 실질적으로 감소시켜 추가로 가공할 필요를 줄이거나 없애는 온건 수소처리 방법에 관한 것이다.
본 발명의 방법은 탄화수소 합성 방법에서 피셔-트롭쉬 원료 왁스를 제조하는 단계; 및 화학 전환 반응(예를 들어, 수소화 반응 및 온건 이성질화 반응)은 일어나지만 비점 전환 반응(수소첨가분해 반응)은 10% 미만으로 발생하여 왁스 생성물의 전체 수율이 유지되도록 하는 온건한 조건하에서, 상기 원료 왁스를 수소첨가이성질화 촉매상에 통과시키는 단계를 포함한다.
본 발명의 한 실시태양에서, 피셔-트롭쉬 원료 왁스는 탄화수소 합성 방법에 의해 제조되고, 왁스의 침입도에 대한 ASTM 표준 시험 방법(ASTM D-1321)에서 정의된 바와 같은 왁스의 경도는 최종 용도 분야에 바람직한 범위내로 조정되며, 동시에 바람직하지 않은 불순물, 예를 들어 산화물(예를 들어, 1차 알코올), 올레핀 및 미량의 방향족은 존재하는 경우 제거된다.

Claims (19)
- (a) 피셔(Fischer)-트롭쉬(Tropsch) 반응 조건에서 피셔-트롭쉬 촉매의 존재하에 합성 기체를 반응시켜, 제 1 침입도(針入度: needle penetration value) 및 제 1 융점을 갖는 피셔-트롭쉬 원료 왁스를 회수하는 단계; 및(b) 상기 피셔-트롭쉬 원료 왁스를 수소첨가이성질화(hydroisomerization) 대역에서 수소첨가이성질화 조건하에 수소첨가이성질화 촉매의 존재하에서 수소와 접촉시켜 수소첨가이성질화 대역에서 371℃보다 높은 비점의 탄화수소로부터 371℃보다 낮은 비점의 탄화수소로의 전환율이 10% 미만이 되도록 상기 왁스를 수소첨가이성질화시킴으로써, 제 2 침입도 및 제 2 융점을 갖는 이성질화된 피셔-트롭쉬 왁스를 제조하는 단계를 포함하는, 합성 기체로부터 탄화수소 왁스 생성물을 제조하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,제 2 융점이 제 1 융점보다 약 0 내지 약 5℃ 더 낮고, 제 2 침입도가 제 1 침입도보다 약 0 내지 약 50% 더 큰 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,단계 (b)에서 사용된 수소첨가이성질화 촉매가 산성 지지체상에 지지된, 6족 금속이 결합된 8족 비귀금속을 포함하는 방법.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,단계 (b)에서 사용된 수소첨가이성질화 촉매가 산성 지지체상에 지지된, 6족 금속이 결합된 8족 비귀금속을 포함하는 방법.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,단계 (b)에서 사용된 수소첨가이성질화 촉매의 8족 금속이 코발트이고, 6족 금속이 몰리브덴이며, 지지체가 실리카-알루미나이고, 단계 (a)에서 사용된 피셔-트롭쉬 촉매가 코발트, 루테늄 또는 이들의 혼합물을 포함하는 방법.
