Abstract
Description
Claims (10)
- 대향 배치된 한쌍의 기판과,상기 한쌍의 기판 사이에 밀봉된 액정과,상기 액정에 혼입된 중합성 성분이 염소 원자를 포함하지 않는 광 개시제에 의해 반응이 촉진되어 중합하여 상기 한쌍의 기판과의 계면 근방에 형성되며, 배향막을 도포 형성하지 않고 상기 액정을 배향 제어하는 광 경화물을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광 개시제가 빛에 의해 개열하고, 모두 환 구조를 갖는 라디칼을 생성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광 개시제가 빛에 의해 분자간 수소 인출형의 라디칼을 생성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 광 개시제가 크산톤 구조를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 광 개시제가 대칭 구조를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 액정 중에 잔존하는 미반응된 상기 중합성 성분의 총량이 상기 액정에 대하여 중량비로 1.0 % 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 액정이 적하 주입법을 사용하여 밀봉되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 한쌍의 기판이 가시광에 의해 경화 가능한 밀봉재를 사용하여 상호 접합되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 액정이 가시광에 의해 경화 가능한 밀봉재를 사용하여 밀봉되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 중합성 성분과, 염소 원자를 포함하지 않는 광 개시제가 혼입된 액정을 한쌍의 기판 사이에 밀봉하고, 상기 액정에 빛을 조사하여, 상기 광 개시제에 의해 반응을 촉진시켜 상기 중합성 성분을 중합하고, 배향막을 도포 형성하지 않고, 광 경화물을 상기 한쌍의 기판과의 계면 근방에 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법.
