Abstract
Description
그리고, 상기한 어레이 기판과 컬러필터 기판 사이에는 수 개의 액정분자들로 이루어진 액정층(도시되지 않음)이 개재된다.
이 경우, 영상 신호 전압이 인가되면, 화소 내의 이온들은 DC 성분의 전압에 의해 화소 내부에 고르게 흡착되며, 화소 내의 액정들은 상기 화소 내에 고르게 흡착된 이온들에 의해 인가된 영상 신호 전압과 다른 크기의 전압을 느끼게 되고, 이 결과, 원치 않는 액정 움직임이 유발되어 잔상 등의 이상 빛샘 현상이 나타난다.
컬러필터 기판(도시되지 않음)은 상기한 구조의 어레이 기판의 상부에 대향 배치된다. 상기 컬러필터 기판에 있어서, 각 화소에 대응해서 컬러필터(도시되지 않음)이 형성되고, 화소들의 경계부에 대응해서, 즉, 상기 게이트 라인(101)과 데이터 라인(102)과 대향하여 블랙매트릭스(121)가 형성되며, 상기 컬러필터 및 블랙매트릭스(121)를 포함한 전 영역 상에 상대전극(도시되지 않음)이 형성된다.
그리고, 수 개의 액정분자들로 구성된 액정층이 상기한 어레이 기판과 컬러필터 기판 사이에 개재된다.
결국, 본 발명은 영상 신호 전압의 왜곡이 일어나는 영역을 사용자에게 보여지지 않는 블랙매트릭스의 내부 영역으로 유도하였기 때문에 내부에 함유된 이온들에 의한 이상 빛샘 현상을 효과적으로 방지할 수 있다.
기타, 본 발명은 그 요지가 일탈하지 않는 범위에서 다양하게 변경하여 실시할 수 있다.
Claims (3)
- 수 개의 게이트 라인과 데이터 라인이 서로 직교하도록 형성되고, 상기 라인들의 교차부에 박막트랜지스터가 형성되며, 상기 라인들에 의해 한정된 화소영역 내에 화소전극이 형성된 어레이 기판;상기 화소영역에 대응해서 컬러필터가 형성되고, 상기 화소영역 경계부에 대응해서 블랙매트릭스가 형성되며, 상기 컬러필터 및 블랙매트릭스를 포함하 전면 상에 상대전극이 형성된 컬러필터 기판; 및상기 어레이 기판과 컬러필터 기판 사이에 개재된 수 개의 액정분자들로 이루어진 액정층;을 포함하며,상기 화소전극은 사각 형상이고, 상기 사각 형상 화소전극의 각 가장자리에는 수 개의 예각 팁이 형성되며, 상기 수 개의 예각 팁은 상기 컬러필터 기판의 블랙매트릭스 내측에 배치되도록 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.
