Claims (57)
- 광원으로부터의 광속을, 적어도 2종류의 두께가 상이한 투명 기판을 갖는 광 정보 기록매체 각각에 집속시키는 집속소자에 있어서,광속의 중심축에 가까운 내주 영역과, 내주 영역에 상기 중심축으로부터 먼 쪽에서 인접하는 외주 영역으로 이루어지고, 외주 영역은, 상기 광정보 기록매체중 투명 기판이 얇은 제1광정보 기록매체상에, 외주 영역을 통과한 광속이 집속하도록 최적화된 면을 구비하고,내주 영역면은, 이 영역을 통과한 광속이 상기 제1광정보 기록매체보다 투명기판이 두꺼운 제2광정보 기록매체상에 집속하도록 최적화된 면을 가지며,외주 영역면의 가장 내주부를 통과한 광속의 위상이 내주 영역면의 가장 외주부를 통과한 광속의 위상에 대해서 차이나도록 외주 영역면의 위상이 설정되어 있어,내주 영역 및 외주 영역에 입사한 제1파장의 광속은, 내주 영역 및 외주 영역을 통과하여 상기 광정보 기록매체중 투명기판이 얇은 제1광정보 기록매체상에 집속하고, 내주 영역 및 외주 영역에 입사한 제1파장보다 긴 파장의 광속은 내주 영역 및 외주 영역을 통과하지만 내주 영역을 통과한 광속만이 상기 제1광정보 기록매체보다 투명기판이 두꺼운 제2광정보 기록매체상에 집속하는 것을 특징으로 하는 집속소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 집속소자는 상기 내주 영역과 상기 외주 영역을 갖는 대물렌즈인 것을 특징으로 하는 집속소자.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제1광정보 기록매체상에 상기 광속이 집속한 경우의 구면 수차가전체 수차량 ≥ 20 mλ(rms)5차 구면 수차 ≤ 20 mλ(rms)를 만족하도록 설계된 것을 특징으로 하는 집속소자.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 제1광정보 기록매체상에 상기 광속이 집속한 경우의 구면 수차가7차 구면 수차 ≤ 30 mλ(rms)를 만족하도록 설계된 것을 특징으로 하는 집속소자.
- 광원으로부터의 광속을, 적어도 2종류의 두께가 상이한 투명 기판을 갖는 광정보 기록매체 각각에 집속시키는 집속소자에 있어서,광속의 중심축에 가까운 내주 영역과, 상기 중심축으로부터 먼 외주 영역으로 이루어지며, 외주 영역은 상기 광정보 기록매체중에 투명 기판이 두꺼운 제2광정보 기록매체상에 외주 영역을 통과한 광속이 집속하도록 최적화된 면을 가지며,내주 영역면은 이 영역을 통과한 광속이 상기 광정보 기록매체중에 투명 기판이 두꺼운 제2광정보 기록매체보다 얇은 기판 두께를 갖는 광정보 기록매체상에 집속하도록 최적화되는 면을 가지며,외주 영역면의 가장 내주부를 통과한 광속의 위상이 내주 영역면의 가장 외주부를 통과한 광속의 위상에 대해 차이나도록 외주 영역면의 위상이 설정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 집속소자.
- 제5항에 있어서, 외주 영역면의 가장 내주부를 통과한 광속의 위상이 내주 영역면의 가장 외주부를 통과한 광속의 위상에 대해 차이나는 방향이 진행 방향인 것을 특징으로 하는 집속소자.
- 제6항에 있어서, 내주 영역면의 NA와 전체 개구의 NA의 관계가,전체 개구 NA ×0.7 ≤ 내주 영역 NA ≤ 전체 개구 NA ×0.8를 만족하고, 외주 영역면의 가장 내주부를 통과한 광속의 위상의, 내주 영역면의 가장 외주부를 통과한 광속의 위상에 대한 차이나는 양이50도 ≤ 위상차량 ≤ 150도를 만족하는 것을 특징으로 하는 집속소자.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 광정보 기록매체중에서 투명 기판이 두꺼운 제2광정보 기록매체의 기판 두께를 t1으로 한 경우에, 내주 영역을 통과하는 광속이,t1 ×0.6 ≤ 내주영역 설계 기판 두께위 관계의 기판 두께인 정보기록매체에 집속하는 경우에 최적화된 것을 특징으로 하는 집속소자.
- 제2항에 있어서, 외주 영역면의 가장 내주부와, 내주 영역면의 가장 외주부를 매끄러운 곡선으로 구성한 것을 특징으로 하는 집속소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 집속소자가 광원으로부터의 광속을 광정보 기록매체에 집속시키는 렌즈와, 이 렌즈에 조합되는 판형 광학소자로 이루어지며,상기 렌즈는 광속의 중심축에 가까운 제1내주부와, 상기 중심축으로부터 먼 제1외주부로 이루어지며, 상기 제1외주부는 이 제1외주부를 통과한 광속이 상기 제1광정보 기록매체상에 집속하도록 최적화된 면을 가지며, 상기 제1내주부는 이 제1내주부를 통과한 광속이 제1광정보 기록매체보다 두꺼운 투명 기판을 가지는 광정보 기록매체상에 집속하도록 최적화된 면을 가지며,상기 판형 광학소자는 제2내주부와, 이 제2내주부와 광학적 단차부에 의해 구분되는 제2외주부로 이루어지며, 상기 제2내주부와 제2외주부는 상기 렌즈와 조합된 때에, 상기 렌즈의 제1외주 영역을 통과하는 광속이 상기 제2외주부를 통과하며, 상기 렌즈의 제1내주 영역을 통과하는 광속이 상기 제2내주부를 통과하도록 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 집속소자.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 판형 광학소자는 제2내주부와 제2외주부에서 두께가 상이한 것을 특징으로 하는 집속소자.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 판형 광학소자는 제2내주부와 제2외주부가 서로 상이한 유전 재료로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 집속소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 집속소자는, 광정보 기록매체에 광원으로부터의 광속을 집속시키는 렌즈와, 상기 광원과 상기 렌즈와의 사이의 광경로상에 배치되는 판형 광학소자로 이루어지며,상기 렌즈는, 상기 판형 광학소자가 없는 경우에 렌즈를 통과한 광속이 상기 제1광정보 기록매체에 집속하도록 최적화된 면을 가지며,상기 판형 광학소자는 광속의 중심축에 가까운 내주부와 상기 중심축에서 먼 외주부로 이루어지며, 내주부와 외주부는 광학적 단차부에 의해 구별되어 있고, 상기 외주부의 면은 평면이고, 상기 내주부의 면은, 상기 렌즈와 조합시켰을 때에, 상기 내주부를 통과한 광속이 상기 제1광정보 기록매체보다 두꺼운 투명 기판을 갖는 광정보 기록매체에 집속하도록 최적화되어 있음을 특징으로 하는 집속소자.
