- 제 1 및 제 2 기판과;상기 제1, 2 기판의 마주하는 안쪽 표면에 각각 형성되며, 구동 회로부로부터 각각의 신호 전압을 인가받는 화소 전극 및 공통 전극과;상기 제1, 2 기판 사이에 주입되며, 화소 전극과 공통 전극에 인가된 전압 차에 따라 배열 상태가 변화하는 액정과;상기 제1 기판의 외면에 부착되며, 도전성 유기 또는 무기 물질로 이루어진 제1 투명 도전막이 형성되는 편광판; 및상기 제1 투명 도전막에 대향 배치되는 제2 투명 도전막을 구비하여 상기 제1, 2 투명 도전막의 접촉에 의해 좌표 신호를 발생하는 터치 패널;을 포함하는 액정 표시장치.

- 제 6항에 있어서,상기 터치 패널이 제1 기판과 편광판 사이에 위치하여 상기 편광판과 제1 투명 도전막이 터치 패널의 상부 기판과 상부 도전막으로 기능하고, 상기 터치 패널이,하부 기판과, 이 하부 기판에 형성되는 하부 도전막과;상기 상, 하부 도전막 사이에 일정 간격으로 배치되며, 소정의 탄성을 갖는 다수개의 도트 스페이서와;상기 상, 하부 도전막의 마주하는 양측단에 각각 부착되어 상, 하부 도전막으로 소정의 전압을 인가하는 한쌍의 제1, 2 전극; 및사용자가 가한 압력에 의해 상, 하부 도전막이 접촉된 위치의 좌표 신호를 검출하는 제어 장치를 더욱 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시장치.
