Claims (3)
- 서로 대향 이격된 전면 기판과 배면 기판을 갖고, 상기 전면 및 배면 기판들 사이에 공통 전극 라인들, 주사 전극 라인들 및 어드레스 전극 라인들이 정렬되며, 상기 공통 전극 라인들과 주사 전극 라인들이 서로 나란하게 정렬되고, 상기 어드레스 전극 라인들이 상기 주사 전극 라인들에 대하여 직교하게 정렬되어, 각 교차점에 상응하는 화소가 규정된 플라즈마 표시 패널을 구동하는 장치에 있어서,상기 각각의 주사 전극 라인에 대하여 주사용 회로와 유지 방전용 회로가 스위칭 결합되어, 선택될 화소 영역에 벽전하들을 형성하기 위한 어드레스 주기에서 소정의 주사 순서에 따른 주사 데이터에 따라 상기 주사 전극 라인들에 주사 구동 신호를 인가하고, 선택된 화소 영역에서 빛을 발생시키기 위한 유지 방전 주기에서 상응하는 유지 방전 데이터에 따라 상기 주사 전극 라인들에 유지 방전 구동 신호를 인가하는 주사 구동부;입력되는 표시 데이터 신호에 따른 어드레스 구동 신호를 상응하는 어드레스 전극 라인들에 인가하는 어드레스 구동부;입력되는 공통 데이터 신호에 따른 공통 구동 신호를 공통 전극 라인들에 인가하는 공통 구동부; 및외부로부터 입력되는 영상 데이터를 처리하여, 상기 주사 데이터, 상기 유지 방전 데이터, 상기 표시 데이터 신호 및 상기 공통 데이터 신호를 발생시키는 제어부를 포함한 구동 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 주사 구동부의 주사용 회로가,상기 주사 전극 라인들의 개수와 같은 개수의 출력 단자들이 마련되어, 상기 어드레스 주기에서 상기 제어부로부터의 주사 데이터를 상기 각각의 출력 단자에 순차적으로 출력시키는 주사용 시프트 레지스터 및상기 어드레스 주기에서 상기 주사용 시프트 레지스터의 상응하는 출력 단자로부터의 주사 데이터에 따라 주사용 전압을 상응하는 주사 전극 라인에 선택적으로 인가하는 주사용 스위칭 회로를 포함한 구동 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 주사 구동부의 유지 방전용 회로가,상기 주사 전극 라인들의 개수와 같은 개수의 출력 단자들이 마련되어, 상기 유지 방전 주기에서 상기 제어부로부터의 유지 방전 데이터를 상기 각각의 출력 단자에 순차적으로 출력시키는 유지 방전용 시프트 레지스터 및상기 공통 전극 라인들과 주사 전극 라인들 사이의 용량성 소비 전력을 회수하여 사용하기 위한 충방전 수단이 마련되어, 상기 유지 방전 주기에서 상기 유지 방전용 시프트 레지스터의 상응하는 출력 단자로부터의 유지 방전 데이터에 따라 유지 방전용 전압을 상기 주사 전극 라인들에 인가하는 유지 방전용 스위칭 회로를 포함한 구동 장치.
