Claims (1)
- 게이트전극과 드레인전극을 가지는 박막트랜지스터와, 상기 박막트랜지스터와 화소전극을 가지고 횡방향 및 종방향으로 복수개 배치된 화소와, 횡방향으로 복수개 배치되어 대응하는 화소의 박막트랜지스터의 게이트전극에 각각 접속되는 복수의 게이트신호선과, 종방향으로 복수개 배치되어 대응하는 화소의 드레인전극에 접속하는 복수의 드레인신호선으로 이루어진 액정패널과; 상기 게이트신호선을 구동하는 게이트구동회로와; 상기 드레인신호선을 구동하는 드레인구동회로를 가지는 액정표시장치에 있어서, 상기 드레인구동회로는, 외부회로로부터 복수의 계조기준전압을 수신하여, 상기 계조기준전압의 인접하는 레벨의 한쌍 사이에 삽입하는 복수의 중간전압을 생성하고, 상기 복수의 계조기준전압 또는 복수의 중간전압 중에서 전압을 선택하고, 선택한 전압레벨을 상기 드레인신호선에 부여하고, V0을 최소계조에 대응하는 계조기준전압으로 하고, V1을 V0에 인접하는 계조기준전압으로 하고, Vm을 최대계조에 대응하는 계조기준전압으로 하고, V(m-1)를 상기 Vm에 인접하는 계조기준전압으로 하고, Vi를 상기 드레인신호에 부여되는 전압범위의 중앙부의 계조기준전압으로 하고, V(i-1)를 상기 Vi에 인접하는 계조기준전압으로 하면, 상기 Vi와 V(i-1)사이에 삽입하는 중간전압의 수는, 상기 V0과 V1 사이에 삽입하는 중간전압의 수 및 상기 Vm과 V(m-1)사이에 삽입하는 중간전압의 수보다도 많은 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
