Abstract
Description
銀、銀合金、銅又は銅合金からなり、ピストンスカートに形成された条痕を被覆する皮膜を備え、
前記皮膜の表面は、凹部と凸部とからなるうねりを有し、
前記凹部の最も低い谷部と、前記凸部の最も高い頂部との高低差が8〜15μmであり、
且つ隣接する前記凸部同士のピッチが前記条痕の突起部のピッチに対応するとともに、前記凸部の頂部の算術平均粗さRaが60nm以下である内燃機関用ピストンが提供される。
Claims (6)
- 内燃機関にてねずみ鋳鉄又はアルミニウム合金からなるスリーブ(62)内を往復動作するアルミニウム合金製の内燃機関用ピストン(64)において、
銀、銀合金、銅又は銅合金からなり、ピストンスカート(66)に形成された条痕(68)を被覆する皮膜(72)を備え、
前記皮膜(72)の表面は、凹部(78)と凸部(80)とからなるうねりを有し、
前記凹部(78)の最も低い谷部と、前記凸部(80)の最も高い頂部との高低差が8〜15μmであり、
且つ隣接する前記凸部(80)同士のピッチが前記条痕(68)の突起部のピッチに対応するとともに、前記凸部(80)の頂部の算術平均粗さRaが60nm以下であることを特徴とする内燃機関用ピストン(64)。 - 請求項1記載のピストン(64)において、前記皮膜(72)が、銀又は銅の粒子を焼結した焼結体からなることを特徴とする内燃機関用ピストン(64)。
- 請求項1又は2記載のピストン(64)において、前記皮膜(72)が銀合金であるとき、銀の純度が60重量%以上であることを特徴とする内燃機関用ピストン(64)。
- 請求項3記載のピストン(64)において、前記皮膜(72)の銀の純度が80重量%以上であることを特徴とする内燃機関用ピストン(64)。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のピストン(64)において、前記皮膜(72)の厚みが0.5〜100μmであることを特徴とする内燃機関用ピストン(64)。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のピストン(64)において、前記条痕(68)として、高さが0.001〜0.1mm、隣接する突起部同士の間のピッチが0.1〜0.5mmであるものが形成されたことを特徴とする内燃機関用ピストン(64)。
