Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the copying/erasing time and at the same time to avoid the distortions of the copy or display contents, by separating an input part from a display part and at the same time processing electrically these input and display parts. CONSTITUTION:An input part 15 contains a plate type tablet input device made of a light transmissive material. Then the part 15 gives the position information pointed by an input pen 15a to a control part 16 in an input mode and also the position information on two points pointed by an eraser 15b to the part 16 in a partial erasion mode respectively. A display part 17 consists of a liquid crystal display device whose screen size is equal to an input enable area of the part 15. The display device is set close to the back side of the part 15 so that the display screen is put on the input enable area when viewed from the front side. The part 16 displays the position information obtained by the pen 15a at a luminance level different from the background luminance produced by the eraser 15b and furthermore displays the read pictures sent from a picture input part 18 at a display part 17 with magnification. As a result, the copying/ erasing time is shortened and the distortions of the display contents can be avoided.
